In summary

Alpine Meadows Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, beautiful mountain views, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers in the area. The course is noted for its challenging greens and overall excellent condition. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with staff regarding pace of play, and there are occasional concerns about course policies, such as restrictions on group sizes.

Home course for me, so I am probably biased but it's one of the best 9-hole courses I have ever played. The greenskeepers do a great job keeping the course running and the folks in the pro shop area always friendly. The views are tremendous as well, certainly worth checking out.

Beautiful course - at least the first 2 holes. This was by far my worst experience at a course, due to the verbal attack by the groundskeeper, JD, mid-swing on the fairway. 10 min/hole is considered too slow here and the staff let us know that we needed to both “play faster and learn to golf.” When JD stepped off his cart he approached in a physically intimidating manner, making it clear we were not welcome. Casual golf is not allowed here.

Went to play 9 holes here with some friends to celebrate and have a good time. Sadly, we only made it to hole 2 when the “superintendent” JD came out and verbally accosted us about our pace of play and inability to play the game. Not only were we keeping good pace, there was also nobody behind us that was having to wait. The irony of him asking us if we know the rules as he yells at us in our backswing is an excellent example of the poor leadership and character of the man in charge of this golf club.

Usually only positive or negative experiences are the ones that get posted so here’s a negative one for you. Brought my friends home to bachelor party in the county. Show them the local spots, summit mount Sacajawea and then have a good afternoon golf session at Alpine Meadows. We made it one hole before we turned back to the club house and demanded a $170 dollar refund. We called last week to get a tee time, set for 12 & 12:30, we came in early to give us a bigger cushion for a party of 5. We were told to split, so we did. Group of 3 & 2. Despite playing on schedule, on hole two in the mi…

Good course but horrible staff. JD (grounds keeper?) came out to hurry us along on hole two with no one playing behind us. He didn’t have the patience to let my friend finish his practice swings before yelling “hit the damn ball”. He continued to grill us for “dicking around” since another friend was waiting for us to catch up. Left after that. Only offered us a half refund.

End of season is October 15, the price for 18 and cart was $60 for a course that is two nines. So that seemed high. The the course is green, tee boxes and fairways were very nice. But the course was super wet. If you hit any kind of divot the shot was fat. Mud on the ball nearly every shot. My issue was the greens. They are ridiculous. Some would say challenging, they are in good condition but every putt breaks a ton and if you are down hill, it’s impossible. 7/16 is a joke. Elephant buried in the middle and then slopes crazy to left and fro t. Maybe two places to legally put a pin. It’s th…

This is a very nice, easily walked, 9 hole golf course. The course is in excellent shape and the greens roll well. The course is not long but subtle breaks on the greens offer challenges. The course is worth playing if you're in that area.

I love the course it’s a fun course to play HOWEVER if you want to play with your friends don’t bother. We were one of 2 total parties on the entire course and were told they don’t allow 5 soms so we had to split our party. I would understand if it was a busy day but this is bloody ridiculous. I belive it will be the last time I play there

Everyone who works here is amazing. They are funny and very helpful. The course is very well maintained, as well as beautiful. I highly recommend this course because of its challenge level and for the beautiful scenery. I don't play much golf at all, but I do love this course a lot. I love this place.

Came to have a fun round of golf on a pretty and quiet course. Unfortunately the big man on the gator thought we were too slow and got confrontational. Won't get better at golf at this rate.

Great course with a view unlike anywhere else I've played. The greens are challenging and really fun to find the right line.
