In summary

Cedar Beach Golf Course is praised for its scenic beachside location and friendly staff, offering a pleasant environment for both disc golf and traditional golf, especially for beginners and those looking to practice their short game. The course is generally well-maintained with reasonable fees, though some visitors mention issues such as mosquitoes, poison ivy, and occasional maintenance concerns with the greens and facilities. Despite these drawbacks, many find it a great value for a relaxing day out.

One of the two Long Island disc golf courses charges $8 to play, but it feels like having a private course. Although I haven't played this course many times, I was pleased to see much less goose droppings. However, poison ivy was everywhere, so bring some discs you don't mind leaving behind. Knowing the course layout can help reduce the chance of losing your discs.

Beautiful beach and extremely clean restrooms as well as the sand was perfect no rocks or broken shells as a few of the other beaches in the area have. The golf course was just the right size to enjoy. Great service and friendly staff!

Great starter course for Jr. Golfers, and practice your short game. No shade, beach breeze if lucky, very reasonable price for a couple of hours. Very friendly staff, Enjoyable easy pitch & putt course.

Disc golf review: Really clean course and the holes aren't more than 100 yards from tee. Really great for working on midrange and short game. Not much brush areas but there's definitely a few spots to look out for. Would give it 5⭐ if it had some longer holes.

Went for the disc golf. Short course, all Par 3. Well maintained, but if you didn't know where you were going, it's not easy to find at first! Had to go through the Overlook Beach entrance (one entrance east of the Cedar Beach entrance). The course is very easy to follow once you're in it. It's super basic though compared to Hecksher. This review is based on my experience as we approach the end of fall, so I didn't have to contend with too much brush or overgrowth. Lots of goose droppings all over the course though, so beware of that if it bothers you.

The disc golf course does not have any obstacles like trees. However, you need to be careful to avoid the ample spots with poison ivy and thorny bushes. With the often windy conditions, this is easier said than done. The $40 parking for non-residents (Town of Babylon) does not make things better.

If you are looking for a nice day out and you are a lousy golfer like me, this place is perfect. The course isn't very well maintained, but for $8 non-resident, and $5 for over 60, you can't beat it. And it doesn't get very crowded, so you can play a relaxing game.

Excellent course! Definitely worth the money. For a par 3 course the challenging greens keep it interesting. The staff at the course are very friendly and inviting. Will be coming back!
