Grassy Hill Country Club

Nice course. Overall the course was in pretty good shape aside from the tee boxes at holes 1 and 18 which had turf mats anyways. The course has a nice mix different holes. Greens were all in nice shape. It was a medium difficulty course. It was $70 including a cart for an 18 hole round.

Was in a wedding on 2/7. The wedding coordinator Elisa, was an issue since the bridal party met her at the rehearsal. It should have maybe took an hour. Took 3 hours. Made the bride burst into tears with how she was yelling at everyone and couldn’t understand the order of people (which was super simple, but not entirely traditional) She caused a huge scene during the reception. When asked to move it to the hall to not disturb guests. She refused and got even more disrespectful. In negative degree weather, she kept opening the reception room doors. Can you even call that a tee box? Head pro is never friendly. Conditions were awful and not worth the price when there are 2 courses with excellent conditions for roughly the same price in the area. Used to love playing here but may never come back.

I just got married here, and I am blown away at the service. 5 stars just isn’t enough. The entire staff, including Tim, Elisa, and Joe, were phenomenal. Everyone was so attentive, caring, respectful, and supportive. They went above and beyond for us. I absolutely recommend having any event here. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for making our special day so perfect. We couldn’t be happier with our venue choice.

Grassy Hill is easy to find, very pretty inside and out brunch was delicious. I was there, with friends, for a bridal shower. We know the mother of the groom. Brunch was both breakfast food and Italian food; both were plentiful and excellent. Their staff were very attentive and helpful.

We had our wedding here on July 6th, 2025. It was an amazing experience and I feel I may be the only person on earth to say that my wedding planning was super easy even though it was not simple. We had an elegant event here and the staff (Especially Joe) helped us to make our dream wedding a reality. The venue provided amazing food and full service that we have never experienced at any other wedding before! The worst condition I have seen this place in 6+ years. The pro is also one of the most miserable people I've ever met. $70 to play 1 and 18 off driving range mats. No sprinklers except around the green. Go to Orange Hills or Oak Lane down the street for a much better experience

Absolutely abysmal conditions. Sad because it’s been a nice course in the past. The entire course is burned out. Temporary tees on 1 and 18, but not a word about it in the pro shop when paying. The rest of the tee boxes were chewed up and burned out. The only green grass is crab grass. I’m a public course guy and have played plenty of CT public courses. At $75, this was hands down the worst value on a public round I’ve ever experienced. Hoping they turn it around.

I can’t say enough about Tim and his crew here at Grassy Hill Country Club. We had a beautiful wedding and the experience with the crew was so amazing. The staff worked so hard and the catering was impeccable. The food was delicious as well. What an amazing place to have a wedding at a very reasonable rate! Thank you for making my wife and I a priority and helping us navigate every aspect of the wedding!!!

The course is in disgusting shape, two tees they started renovating in the spring, have just been left so you play off mats (for $75 which is a rip off considering the condition). The rest of the tee boxes are all in bad shape, none are flat and there appears to be little to no maintenance. Would not recommend to anyone for $75!!!

This golf course is open to the the public. 18 hole course very big with some difficult shots. Is very affordable 30$ with a golf cart. The course is well maintain

For 75 dollars this course was in horrible shape. Mats on some tees. Fairways were awful. I know there hasn't been much rain but other courses are in much better shape.
