Manatee Golf Course

Nice course with a challenging but fun layout. Well kept, conditions are good despite the drought West Florida is facing. Very close to a water treatment facility ao expect strong odors on at least a few holes. Wish tee times were more than 7 minutes apart.

The course is challenging, has a lot of beauty in it, and the people who run it are very nice/friendly - as are the overwhelming majority of other golfers I've encountered there. I can see how some find issues with the quality of the course, but I give them a lot of credit for enabling affordable golf with a price structure that feels oriented towards letting snowbirds and vacationers keep off-season golf super affordable. Overall, it's been a dream living nearby.

Although the staff was incredibly nice, this course is straight trash. $90 for a cow pasture? The fairways are in decent shape. I have no idea how this is peak season and this course is in such bad shape. Shame on you for charging this much, this is a $40 dollar course tops. Thanks for wasting my money.

Firstly I will say is the staff is the absolute best. The lovely lady who not only checked us in for our round, but she also gladly walked over and made us cocktails before our round and didn't judge us for drinking at 7:30 in the morning. We were on vacation. The guy at the cart barn was hilarious and really boosted the morning. The course was nice, some tee boxes and greens could use a little work but honestly for a muni and coming from texas golf its still in very playable shape and for the cost of a round here and how nice the staff is it's an all around great deal.

I like Manatee's layout. The greens roll nicely but be ready for strong Bermuda grain on all the greens. My only real complaint with the greens was the way they cut the holes. All the holes were cut with a slightly "crowned hole" in a circular fashion within 7 inches of the hole. These crowns imare sort of like a little volcano around the hole. This is done purposely when the cut the holes at the start of the day. Crowned holes make lag putting that dies at the hole near impossible to drain a lagged putt. After the greenskeeper pulls the hole in the morning he needs to tap down around the hole…

Played it today and I have to say I was impressed. The fairways are brilliant green and the greens are receptive and rolling smooth. This course is the best kept secret in the area. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a great day on the course

All in all, it was good. The fairways are in decent shape and the greens are in good shape. I didn't so much appreciate the cart path rules but when you got reseed. All the ball washers that I used were full, with soapy water and good brushes. Unlike Buffalo Creek. Every water station was full as well.

I played nine holes here and also have gone to the driving range seems like a pretty decent golf course well maintained very friendly in the Pro Shop they make you feel welcomed. Note that the driving range is off the mat only*** there's also no tees so I wasn't very comfortable hitting my driver. As I was getting ready to leave I seen the guy beside me (Phil) that he had a special claw type tee that twisted in on the AstroTurf. So I will try that next time. The greens are well maintained the course is well maintained it's quite beautiful scenery and a nice place to be on a sunny day. Also…

The Cours is nice. Greens are perfect, I like the layout. Sometimes tricky and challenging. Generally a nice and good place to play. The only big problem and reason for only 3stars is the Pace of Play. We had 5h and wait time every hole. We never saw Ranger at all, to check Pace of Play.

Pretty decent, very good for the price. Paid like 23 bucks after 4:00 p.m. for 18 holes riding which is amazing value! Fairways and tee boxes aren't great but greens were surprisingly very nice, and that's what counts

Course itself is decent. However when I arrived for my tee time they didn't have any carts ready until 30 minutes after my tee time. The gentlemen at the check in was very rude about not having carts, like it was my fault. It's Unlikely I'll be able to finish the round due to this. Wouldn't recommend playing here.

7/9/22 Play the course today and it wasn’t in the best shape. The front 9 was cart path only due a good amount of rain in the area the past few days. Some of the fairways are bare. Staff is very friendly.
