In summary

Palm Desert Country Club receives praise for its well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly staff, and enjoyable course layout, particularly for beginner to intermediate players. The club offers additional amenities like live entertainment and food packages, enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's value for money, noting that it may not be challenging for advanced golfers and mentioning issues with food availability and management. Additionally, the layout requires crossing roads between holes, which can be confusing for newcomers.

This was my first time playing at Palm Desert Golf Course (December 26, 2025), and I’d like to share my experience for anyone who may find it helpful. Pros: 1. The course is relatively flat, making it comfortable for beginner to intermediate players. 2. The greens are well-trimmed and fairly fast. 3. The fairways and rough are well maintained with very few bare patches. 4. Carts are sent directly to the parking area so you can load your bag right away. Cons: 1. You often need to cross roads to get to each hole, which can be confusing for first-time visitors or beginners. 2. More advanced pla…

This is a very well maintained municipal golf course in Palm Desert. The bunkers are not deep and are relatively easy to escape. The greens are in great shape. The staff is very friendly and professional. They do offer some afternoon packages for golf and food. Well worth investigating.

Nicely maintained compared to two years ago! The cost, however, does not match the course layout, amenities, location, or *country club* name. Get a deal to play here, or you'll be buying a Cadillac and getting a nice Chevrolet.

Course is in great condition, greens and . fairways. Sandtraps can use some sand, but on the flip side it’s important to learn how to hit out of compacted sand too: Not all courses have perfect sand. I like the long grass around the sandtraps edges, looks like an island course.

Great course for mid handicap golfer, supper nice and fast greens. Fairways and bunkers were not in good shape, but was easy to play. I'm an 11.0 index and I had a great round, 74. Two birdies and 4 bougies was one of my best round this year.

If you're looking for live entertainment, fun friendly people and dancing, The Cactus Club is the perfect spot. Live entertainment every Friday night during the season.

Dont be fooled by the reviews and pictures, many of the pictures in the reviews ARENT even from the same course… driving up to the club house it looks nice but don’t let that mislead you, the course isn’t. this course isn’t worth the 105 per player, many many other nicer courses for the same price or cheaper!! Staff very disorganized, course in rough shape, hardly any snacks or food unless you sit in the restaurant, for the price they charge you’d think it would be in better shape I’d give zero stars if I could

Meticulous course and property. Not too challenging and therefore quite enjoyable. On the course just after over seed and so cart path was all we could drive on which for me is a lot of walking !!

Great place overall however the Parks General manager needs to find a new job, her ability to manage and deal with tenant issues is severely inadequate and can get a little snarky when confronted with security issues!

Just finished playing and I was impressed after reading some reviews. I’m only a 15 cap but enjoy travelling and playing on a decent course while away from home and not breaking the bank . PDCC was great. Fairways green and cut nice. Rough was good. Tee boxes were green and in great shape. Greens were fast and in very good shape. Overall a great experience from the Pro Shop all the way to lunch and cocktails at the 19th hole!! Will play this course twice on my next trip to the desert!! 5 STARS

Figuring out a way to complain about the country club since none of my other inquiries are being heard. The pool situation is reckless - unsafe and unsupervised. It’s being completely overrun by non residence by family’s throwing there kids over the gates - putting rocks in the door and allowing full scale parties till closing. Jacuzzi is useable due to the amount of Children playing in it with Squirt guns and other toys, while parents are blaring thier boomboxes and taking shots. The kids are running around reckless throwing rocks and such on the pool. People pay good money for these faciliti…
