In summary

Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club, now known as Clermont National, is praised for its unique and challenging layout with significant elevation changes, which is uncommon in Florida. The staff is frequently highlighted for their friendliness, and the course offers beautiful views and a welcoming clubhouse with good food. However, many reviews point out that the course conditions, particularly the fairways and greens, are often in need of maintenance, with some players expressing disappointment in the overall upkeep. Despite these issues, the course is considered a good value, especially for those who appreciate its distinctive terrain.

The fairways and tee boxes were in poor shape and the greens were in good shape. The staff was very nice and the price was great. Love the course layout it was a fun day. If your picky and a pro it's not for you, the rest of us average players would enjoy this course.

Great course and very challenging. One of the few courses with drastic elevation changes. Greens could be better, but they aren't bad at all. Green fees are a steal for the quality of this course. I'd play here over Disney courses any day.

I’m literally on the course as I write this. I wish I could get a refund, but they wont so I have to endure 13 more holes of this. I dont like doing this its bad for business but its also bad for business to charge 40+ to play on a course this poorly maintained. The practice area was trash i figured whatever its to warm up the course will be better. Hole 1 green not cut not rolled hole 2 fungus hole 3 worse than hole 1. All the greens are absolutely not good for putting they are very furry. Fairways are to distinguish what is rough. Its very bad But ill get a response from the course saying so…

Greens are not perfect but it was fun to play here, the course is some what challenging. If you like playing in different elevations this is the place for you. View are amazing best I have seen in central and south Florida so far.

The staff is very friendly. The terrain on the course is challenging and the views are beautiful. The only downside is the course is in rough shape, but we have a great time regardless!

The greens are in great shape, I really like the hilly layout. You really do not see a lot of elevation changes like this in Florida.

Course is now Called Clermont National. Completely renovated 2 yrs ago. Very nice clubhouse and decent pro shop. Range has top tracer in every box which is very cool. Course has tons of elevation which is rare to central florida. Greens were in great shape, fairways and tee boxes had lots of thick grass. $90 in season which is going rate for around here. First time i played and would know more next time around.

Played 2 days in a row and will be playing again today. No other course in the area like this. Loads of fun. The greens look a little patchy but run true. Fairways do need some TLC but hard to criticize this time of year as it is still in the winter. It is $40 a round. If you are expecting Augusta standards go and spend some more money! To be fair though if it had a bit more TLC they could easy charge double for this place. The staff are all really friendly and the bar does great food with a very warm welcome. If you hadn't noticed I love this place! 👍👍👍

Awesome layout and great scenery!! Entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Fairways were good and greens had been aerified but seem like they will be very nice in a few weeks. Biggest complaint is the rough and lack of mowing/maintenance. Don't miss the fairway. Tee boxes were less than average. Great sandwich and fries at the turn for a very reasonable price. I'll golf here again in a month or so.

Very sad to see the golf course not taken care of. The greens are in very poor shape. Most of the greens are painted to cover issues. Lots of sand on the greens to smooth them out. Fairways are gone, no grass anywhere mostly dirt and ruts. The bunkers have not been touched and are all grass now. This place used to be a great place to play. I always loved the layout , but now it’s not worth the trip anymore. Sad to see what this place has become.

If you don’t hit a straight ball every time you can forget about finding it in the rough without the help of a jungle guide. Some of the greens are in need of real help. I was able to play this course at a discounted rate but I still wouldn’t go back unless major upkeep was done. Which I have to say is a shame because the layout and views on this course are terrific. The staff was very friendly and courteous but because of the course I can only give it two stars.

This used to be one of my favorite courses. The layout and views are beautiful, and no two holes are alike. Unfortunately, the course is now in terrible shape. The greens are full of sand, some of the fairways are brown, and the rough is unmowed to the point where you can’t even find balls that barely miss the fairway. I hope somebody else buys this course and starts taking care of it properly. Until that happens, i am not coming back.
