What People Say

In summary

Shadow Mountain Golf Club is often praised for its well-maintained course, friendly and attentive staff, and charming 1950s ambiance. The course layout is noted for being both challenging and enjoyable, with tight fairways and unique features. Beautiful, reasonably priced course. Popped in for a late 12 man scramble and they kept the course open past close. All the workers were exceptional! Very impressed with our day, despite the 100+ degree weather

This was an interesting course to say the least. I played as a single and walked but still somehow ran into backups of up to 3 groups more times than i should’ve. The layout is something only someone ON something could think of, like who puts a residential road through a fairway?? Anyways the bunkers were too firm for a regular bunker shot (to be fair it rained heavily two days prior), the greens were horrendous, grass was too long, ground too soft and edges of the holes not cleaned up at all. These were probably the slowest greens Ive ever touched. Tried the simulator for about 10 minutes but…

Thoroughly enjoyed playing golf here. Julian (and whole crew) is top notch friendly and helpful. Impressive maintenance for off season. Currently working several tee boxes but still very challenging course. And again, so well maintained. Definitely want to return to take more advantage of giant putting green sometime.

Couple things I wanted to share. The course itself was super fun, great challenge with the narrow fairways. It was also in super great shape. Only issue was that I called ahead and mentioned that we would need three carts. They said no problem just pay the fee. Threesome with three spectators (the wives joined us). Upon arriving to check in the older woman, presumably a manager, was super rude and refused to let us play together. Keep in mind, the course was wide open, maybe three other groups out there. I explained how I called ahead, but they didn't seem to care and wouldn't let us have the…

During my visit to Palm Desert last week, I wanted to play some different courses, and played Shadow Mountain the first day. I liked it so much, I came back the next day, and played it again. Great conditions, friendly staff and the price was very reasonable compared to some others I have looked at. I will definitely come back again.

We had lots of fun at this course… but it is a little different than what we had been playing. First of all, the starter is amazing! His course knowledge was incredible and he was personable and very entertaining. The course condition is fine, but wow - houses are close! We had a couple long ball hitters in our group who tend to “spray” a 315 yard drive a little left, and that means a back yard. Some fairways are in very close proximity to each other so be on your toes! Staff was very friendly. Course played quickly. We had lots of fun and the price was very, very reasonable.

Shadow Mountain Golf Course is a hidden gem ! The 1950s vibe is perfectly captured with its fun flamingo and tiki decor, setting the tone for a fantastic day on the course. The scenery is stunning, with well manicured greens and a challenging layout that will keep you on your toes. But what truly sets Shadow Mountain apart is the exceptional service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about making your experience special. The food is also top-notch. Shadow Mountain Golf Course is a must-play destination in the Coachella Valley. Special shoutout to Johnny Neumann b…

Shadow Mountain Golf Club is a hidden gem in Palm Springs. I loved the homey feel of the course, and the relaxed atmosphere made for a great round. The layout is on the shorter side, but the tight fairways keep it challenging and fun. The course was in excellent shape, and it’s clear they take great care of it. The best part of the experience was the staff, especially Bruce, the starter. He was absolutely awesome—friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had a great time. The overall vibe here is laid-back and inviting, making it a perfect spot for golfers who want to enjoy a well-maintained cour…

In the heart of downtown Palm Desert. This course has a great atmosphere. Well maintained. I call it an old school, Desert course. Eclectic and fun, well done staff. I will return for another round.
