In summary

Andrew Johnson Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly and helpful staff, as well as its affordable pricing and well-designed layout. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the greens, fairways, and bunkers, which are often described as being in poor condition. Despite these challenges, some golfers appreciate the potential of the course and continue to visit, hoping for improvements in the future.

Alright i dont normally do reviews but wanted to give a 100% un bias review on AJ. So i will give the carts and the staff 5 stars they are really nice cars and staff is friendly and helpful. i will say the the Corse itself is decent and fairways are wide and are managed for the most part. The greens on the other hand are the worse ive ever seen on any golf Corse. there are holes dug out on the 9th green like divots idk what it was. half the greens are missing just dirt and really rough. was told they reseeded but still looks the same 2 months after and nothing has really improved. It has a cha…

Course condition could certainly be improved. No bunker play available currently. Very much look forward to seeing what it will look like in the spring. Huge shout out to the staff, Joel Hernandez in particular. Left a high dollar item in my cart and was very thankful for his integrity and professionalism in returning it. Again thank you sir. Look forward to many more rounds in the future.

Played this course twice now and must say it's got some very well thought out landscapes and the par levels are fairly set fun course will be returning soon

This “golf course” leaves me speechless. The greens are scalped by the lawnmower, sand traps are now grass traps, ant hills are everywhere and they over fertilize the greens. Not to mention you constantly have people mowing the fairways that don’t stop for you to play through. The owner needs to close the doors.

Horrible condition. The greens literally have black mold on them and they have cracks everywhere. The fairways are not cut at all, it’s hard to find your ball even in the fairway. Not the nicest staff ever, totally assumed that we weren’t gonna follow the rules because we are kids, so if you are a kid or have a kid I wouldn’t recommend playing here. And on top of all this they say they have a range online, but we get there And they tell us that they ran out of range balls. Probably because they’re so broke. The only good thing about the course is the price, just because it’s relevant to the co…

Andrew Johnson Golf Course is in the worst shape I’ve ever seen it. The tee boxes look like they haven’t been mowed in weeks — you can’t even tee it up from the tips because the grass is so high. The greens are in awful condition, with large dead spots and ant hills all over. You can even lose balls in the fairway because the grass is so poorly maintained. The pin locations haven’t been changed in over a year — the cups are worn out, the areas around the holes are dead, and it’s clear no effort has been made to rotate them. We’ve tried to hit range balls several times over the past month, and…

Would leave 0 stars if possible. Staff is friendly, but holy crap this place should be free to play. Grass by the clubhouse and the range are mid ankle high. Paid $12 for 2 range buckets then hit 15 balls and left. Didn’t even bother trying to play because the range was a goat track. Could only imagine how the course is after seeing the first tee box beside the clubhouse. Only person I would recommend come here is my worst enemy.

Tom Willett, you said it all. About the only thing I can add is that the greens are now being taken over by areas of long weed like grass. Large areas of the greens are now dead. You may as well cut your lawn close and practice putt there. Its no diifferent than trying to putt at Andrew Johnson. The other 2 public courses are excellent and both require tee times. You sure won't need a tee time here. Almost nobody plays here anymore. It's hopeless to expect any changes.

I only used the range, but it was a pretty cool place. The course, from where I could see, looked really nice. The girl at the desk was awesome. Very affordable. I can't wait to play 18 there! Wish they would redo the sand traps, though.

Decent course. Driving range is fully visible and in better shape this year. Putting green isn't bad. Price is now $30/18 ride or walk. $17/9 ride or walk

No mowing or weedeating! Plenty of weeds in the fairways. Greens are slow and either dead or dying! Lose balls in the fairway! Clover and dandelions on the greens. No fringe plenty of ant hills. The old Kinser Park course was in better shape. Words can’t describe how bad this once beautiful course has become. Anybody that gives this place a good review has never played golf anywhere else
