Linx Edition Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-26 · Effective October 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CE Kitch INC, doing business as Linx Edition ("Linx Edition," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares and retains personal information when you visit linxedition.com, our customer portal at account.linxedition.com, or any related page we operate (together, the "Sites").

It applies to visitors browsing golf club and community pages, consumers who contact an advertiser through our forms, businesses and real estate agents who enquire about or purchase advertising, and club and resort owners who manage a club page through our portal.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted without a right to limit.

2. Information You Give Us

2.1 Advertising enquiries and signup forms

When you enquire about advertising with us, or begin our signup process, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, telephone number, company name, website, business or service address, the club or market you are interested in, your product category and budget range where we ask for them, any appointment preference, and any message you write.

We also keep what you entered if you do not finish. Our signup forms save the information entered so far when you leave the page partway through, so that a sales representative can follow up on an incomplete enquiry. If you do not want us to hold a partially completed enquiry, do not enter your contact details, or email us at office@linxedition.com and we will delete the record.

Completed enquiries are entered into the customer relationship management system our sales team uses, and may trigger an internal notification so a representative can respond.

2.2 Contacting an advertiser, agent or club

Some pages let you contact a real estate agent, business or club that advertises with us. When you submit one of those forms, the information you provide is passed to that advertiser so they can respond. That advertiser is then an independent recipient of your information and handles it under their own privacy practices, not ours. We also keep a copy so we can report to the advertiser and resolve disputes.

2.3 Accounts

If you hold a customer or club-owner account in our portal, we collect your name, email address, a mobile telephone number used to send sign-in verification codes, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your password. We never store your password itself and cannot recover it.

2.4 Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment pages and are never received by or stored on our servers. We receive and store the billing name and email, the payment and subscription status, invoice amounts and dates, and the identifiers Stripe issues for your customer and subscription records.

2.5 Advertising authorizations

When you authorize an advertising subscription, we record the date and time, the IP address and browser you authorized from, the approximate location derived from that IP address, and an archived copy of the exact version of the terms displayed to you. This record exists so that an authorization can always be resolved back to what was actually agreed, and so we can respond to a billing dispute. It is evidence, and we retain it even after a subscription ends.

3. Information Collected Automatically

3.1 Site activity

The Sites record how they are used. This includes the pages you view; clicks on advertisements, advertiser profiles, and the call, email and website buttons on a profile; searches and filters you apply; photo galleries you open; and which step of a form you reached. Each of these is stored with a site session identifier, a timestamp, the page address, the referring page, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived from, your browser's user agent string, and your IP address.

We use this to operate the Sites, to detect automated traffic, and to report to advertisers how their placements performed. Reports to advertisers are aggregate counts — impressions, clicks and contact actions — not identified individuals.

These detailed records are deleted after approximately 90 days. What remains after that is a per-day count of activity with no IP address, no user agent and no session identifier in it.

3.2 Approximate location from your IP address

We estimate your city, state, country and approximate coordinates from your IP address so we can show you clubs, agents and listings near you. This lookup is performed on our own servers against a locally held reference database: your IP address is not sent to a third-party location service. It is an approximation based on your network, not a reading from your device, and it is often wrong by some distance.

3.3 Server logs

Our servers keep technical logs of requests, including the IP address, user agent, requested address, response status and response time. These are used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.

3.4 Email delivery and engagement

For transactional emails we send you — a receipt, an account invitation, a password reset — our email provider reports back whether the message was delivered, bounced, marked as spam, or opened. We use this to tell whether an important message reached you. Link-rewriting click tracking is switched off on these messages.

4. Cookies, Pixels and Similar Technologies

The Sites use cookies and similar technologies, some set by us and some by third parties.

Ours are used to keep you signed in, to remember preferences such as an approximate location, and to tie the activity records described above to a single browsing session.

Third-party advertising and analytics technologies currently in use on the Sites:

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — records page views and form submissions and associates them with a Meta advertising identifier. Meta uses this to measure our advertising and to let us show advertisements to people who have visited the Sites.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — measures traffic and site usage.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (Google LLC) — measures the results of our advertising and allows advertisements to be shown to prior visitors.

These technologies set their own cookies and may receive your IP address, the page you are on and your browser information. We may also send information about completed purchases to these advertising partners directly from our servers, rather than from your browser, for the same measurement purpose; where we do, contact details such as an email address are cryptographically hashed before transmission.

We do not permit these partners to use information from the Sites for their own independent purposes beyond what their terms with us allow, but their handling of information they collect is governed by their own privacy policies. You can manage Meta's use of advertising information in your Meta account's ad preferences, and Google's at Google's own ad settings page. Your browser's cookie controls, and privacy extensions that block these technologies, work on the Sites.

5. How We Use Personal Information

  • To operate, maintain and secure the Sites.
  • To respond to your enquiries and, where you have enquired about or begun a signup for advertising, to contact you about it by telephone or email.
  • To create and administer accounts, authenticate sign-ins, and operate two-factor authentication.
  • To sell, deliver, bill and support advertising services, including processing payments and managing subscriptions.
  • To report to advertisers, in aggregate, how their placements performed.
  • To measure and improve our own marketing, including the advertising technologies described in section 4.
  • To maintain evidence of advertising authorizations and to resolve billing disputes and chargebacks.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and automated traffic.
  • To comply with law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. How We Share Personal Information

We disclose personal information in the following circumstances, and not otherwise:

  • To an advertiser you chose to contact. If you submit a form to reach an agent, business or club, your enquiry goes to them. That is the purpose of the form.
  • To service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only for the purpose we engage them for. These currently include our payment processor (Stripe), our transactional email provider (SendGrid), our verification-code and messaging providers (Twilio and RingCentral), the customer relationship management system our sales team uses (Podio), our workflow automation service (n8n), and our hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • To advertising and analytics partners as described in section 4.
  • Where the law requires it, or in response to lawful requests by public authorities, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply to the information transferred until the recipient provides notice of a change.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, the advertising technologies described in section 4 involve disclosing information about your activity on the Sites to Meta and Google for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under California law and the laws of several other states, that disclosure is treated as "sharing" (and, under some state definitions, as a "sale") whether or not money changes hands. Section 8 explains how to opt out.

We do not disclose the personal information of consumers browsing the Sites to advertisers or to data brokers as a product. Aggregate statistics we publish or give to advertisers do not identify individuals.

7. Retention and Security

We keep personal information for the periods stated in section 1, and no longer than needed for the purpose it was collected for, except where a longer period is required by law or necessary to resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement. Detailed site-activity records are pruned automatically after approximately 90 days.

We protect personal information with measures including encryption of all traffic to and from the Sites, one-way hashing of passwords, mandatory two-factor authentication on staff and portal accounts, separation of database privileges so that each part of our system can reach only the data it needs, and row-level database controls that confine a portal account to its own records. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us.

8. Your Privacy Rights and How to Exercise Them

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions — we may need to keep records of a transaction, an authorization, or an amount owed.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (and of any "sale" as your state defines it).
  • Obtain a portable copy of information you provided to us.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you made a request.

8.1 Making a request

Email office@linxedition.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days, extending once by a further 45 days where necessary, and telling you if we do.

We will ask you to provide enough information to verify that the request is yours — ordinarily the email address or telephone number we already hold for you, and confirmation of details in our records. We will not use information you give us for verification for any other purpose. If we cannot verify a request we will tell you why and will not act on it.

An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you; we may contact you to confirm it.

8.2 Opting out of advertising technologies

To opt out of our sharing of information for cross-context behavioral advertising, you can do any of the following:

  • Email office@linxedition.com with the subject line "Opt Out of Sharing", and we will record your request.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks advertising and analytics technologies. The Sites remain fully usable with these blocked.
  • Use the advertising controls offered by Meta and Google in your account settings with those companies, which govern how they use information they hold about you.

Opting out stops the sharing described in section 4. It does not stop us from using your information to operate the Sites or to respond to you.

8.3 Appeals

If we decline your request and your state's law provides a right of appeal, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing office@linxedition.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal". We will respond within 45 days with our decision and the reasons for it, and will tell you how to contact your state attorney general if you disagree.

8.4 Marketing communications

You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by emailing us. Transactional messages about an account or a subscription you hold are not marketing and continue regardless. To stop telephone contact from our sales team, tell the representative or email us, and we will record the request.

9. Automated Decision-Making

We do not make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects using automated processing alone. Sales decisions, pricing and account actions are made by people.

10. Do Not Track

Browsers differ in how they express a "Do Not Track" preference and there is no agreed standard for honouring it. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. The controls in section 8.2 are effective.

11. Children

The Sites are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email office@linxedition.com and we will delete it.

12. Visitors Outside the United States

Linx Edition is based in the United States and the Sites are directed to a United States audience. If you access the Sites from elsewhere, the information described in this Policy is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law differs from that of your country. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and wish to exercise rights under the law that applies to you, email office@linxedition.com and we will respond.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. When we do, we will change the version and effective date at the top of this page. Where a change materially reduces your rights or materially expands how we use information already collected, we will give notice by a prominent notice on the Sites or by email to account holders before the change takes effect.
