In summary

Ash Brook Golf Club receives praise for its challenging course layout, well-maintained fairways, and friendly staff under new ownership, which is committed to improving the course and facilities. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the pace of play, overbooking of tee times, and issues with customer service, particularly regarding policies for young players and handling of course maintenance disruptions. The food and clubhouse atmosphere receive mixed reviews, with some appreciating recent improvements while others find the selection lacking.

A very nice open course overall, not too much shrubbery or landscaping, a bit barebones, but the course is great. The holes are long and challenging, with good fairways, roughs, etc. Also the price is good.

Not a bad course, beautiful Saturday afternoon and didn't see and drink carts 😕 Was going to eat there but the food selection was not very good given they have a kitchen...

Worst experience on a golf course I've had in over 25 years of golfing. The starter (who was rude) told us after paying full price that they were punching the greens and to skip any hole that was being worked on. We had 1 green that wasn't punched, had to skip 1 hole and the rest had so much sand that we could have built a sandcastle. To make things even more frustrating they let out a seniors mixed league on #10 in front of us. As we we're waiting on a tee deck on the back 9 another group behind us came up and shared their frustration about the whole situation aswell. The marshal was there an…

My family and I have been golfing at Ashbrook for years, it’s disheartening to see how much has changed—for the worse—under the new management. This course used to strike a great balance between being a quality place to golf and a welcoming, family-friendly environment. It was one of the few places where you could bring your kids to learn the game without feeling out of place. Unfortunately, that atmosphere is now gone. The new management seems to have little interest in maintaining the inclusive, community-oriented vibe that once set this course apart. Worse yet, tee times are now consisten…

Great course for the cost. Super atmosphere in the clubhouse. Current owners are great and do their best to accommodate everyone's needs. They are continually trying to improve the course and facilities. Highly recommend.

Very friendly place with new owners and staff who are determined and committed to improve the conditions back to it’s former glory. The course is looking great! N

The pace of play was very slow. It took us over 2.5 hours to play 9 holes. We went to the clubhouse after 9 to request a rain check and they refused even though a number of groups in front of us asked the same question and were also refused. Very dissapointed with the lack of consideration and the terrible experience on the golf course. I would definitely not recommend playing at Ash Brook.

We played nine holes today. When I booked we were told they would consider our Easter Seals Unstoppable Access2 card (for people with disabilities) but when we went to pay they gave us no discount and appeared to make fun of the card and mentioned it was only honored at “squirrel golf”!? The course was mediocre (good fast greens but we were pushed by a league group playing best ball who we eventually let through and a single who we let through and we still finished our nine in two hours so our pace was good.

I'm so please the changes the new ownership has made. The course is in great shape! I just played in an extremely well executed tournament. The quality of the food in the clubhouse has been vastly improved. Must try the homemade spring rolls!. And the staff are friendly and professional. It a very enjoyable golf experience.

Golfed yesterday and played in a threesome for 18 holes walking in 3 hours 35 minutes. Greens were fast, smooth, great shape. Fairways are improving. A VERY enjoyable round.

Course was in great shape! The starter greeted us with a couple jokes and made us feel welcomed at the first tee box. Great course, even better staff!

ZERO STARS - DO NOT GO HERE!! My friend and I booked 9 holes with carts for a casual afternoon round. I brought my 5-week-old baby and 5-year-old daughter along — something I’ve done at many other Northumberland-area courses without issue. I always pay for myself and my cart, and my daughter usually tees off and putts while I play the rest. Never, ever has a course made a big deal about a young kid swinging a club. When we checked in, I paid for my round and cart (as did my friend). At the first tee, my daughter took a single swing off the block and picked up her tee. Within seconds, a staff…
