Course is beautiful. Lady who answers the phone and front desk is lovely. Man at the front desk who opened the course was EXTREMELY condescending and rude. It started at the very beginning when we arrived for our early tee time, no one was at the front desk for 7 minutes, he then criticized us for starting 5 mins late. At the 9th hole we bought drinks, when he told us our timing was “unacceptable.” There was one group behind us who we let pass on an otherwise empty course. Apparently he didn’t care about that. I said thank you as I was leaving and this man continued to make snarky comments abo…

So to start when I called to book the woman on the phone was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. We arrive and no one is at the front desk. After about a 7 minute wait a man shows up to check us in (just about exactly when our tee time is). We purchase a few beverages for the course and as we leave he makes a comment to one of the woman of the group that we are taking to long. It was ignored and we continued. The course itself is beautiful we started early because we had a few beginners in there he group and we would have been a little slower. There was one group of two that was behind us an…

I use to love golfing here before I got to know the Old owner and Sue more. I came across some members while I was playing my hole who were very rude and started rushing me while saying snide comments. My girl sitting in the golf cart even felt uncomfortable. I said what I said defended myself and moved on. I come back week later because I forgot my cooler but the owner and coworker sided with the members saying I was starting stuff which was totally false and banned me for a year. I tried to say my part about the situation but the owner told me “Do you expect me to believe you over my people”…

I've been playing Bas Ridge for 20 + years. Great, affordable "mountain" golf. Nice mix of par3's and par4's with challenging rough. The members and "walk-on's" are overall welcoming and friendly. Why drive to Stowe or fly to Telluride when you've got real mountain golf right here in the Berkshires Hill towns.

One of the best golf courses to learn at imo. It's much smaller than most full size courses out there (at least 3 drive-able par 4's and I can only hit driver about 230 yds) but still has some great views and challenging aspects to it's holes. Bunkers well kept compared to so many other courses out there.

This is a great little course with some challenging twists and turns, all tucked into a very scenic spot in Hinsdale. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, and they emphasize the fun side of the game.

What a diamond in the rough! My husband and I were vacationing in the area and chose to play this course based on proximity and cost. We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and uniqueness of each hole. This is a position course. It is challenging but fair and a lot of fun to play.

Played this course once a week for a long time and loved it until I meet the owner (presumed owner, man who drives a big "Bas Ridge" truck). He was incredibly rude, mean and disrespectful to me and my buddy who are loyal bas ridge customers and just trying to be pleasant. Other employees are great and course is great however the owner made me want to never go back (I have golfer there roughly once or twice a week for the last 3 years).

Love this course! So challenging with all of the hills. Beautiful views, diverse holes. Course is in great shape. Staff was awesome! Only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the lack of signage to help newcomers find their way around the course. It can be very confusing.

Owners and employees are very friendly and helpful. Course is well maintained and greens fees are very reasonable, including cart fees. Course is short as many have stated, but also very narrow, so if you are hitting them straight, you can end up with a great score, and vise versa! Makes you think, rather than always pulling out the big stick on every shot. Love love love this place.

I just played this course over two days to complete the 18 holes. I was impressed with the condition of the course especially given the large greens and the difficult and somewhat isolated location on a mountain! That being said, in response to a previous recent review where a gentleman was quite harsh because his “six-year-old son“ was not allowed to drive the cart. He actually questioned the “morality“ of the staff, and I could not disagree with this gentleman more. First of all I would’ve felt uncomfortable taking a cart out on this course, let alone a 6 year old! I also need to question th…
