In summary

Bayou Golf Club is appreciated for its welcoming staff, beautiful layout, and scenic views, making it a pleasant environment for both beginners and regular players. The course is undergoing improvements, particularly with the greens, which are acknowledged as a work in progress by many visitors. While the dedication of the staff and new management is praised, some guests note that the greens still require significant attention to enhance the overall golfing experience.

My wife and I are members here and play around 3 times a week. It is a beautiful course that is fun to play! And has been perfect for beginners like my wife and I. Progress and improvements to the course over the last few months have been awesome to watch! These guys work their butts off and are always great. We appreciate everything you do!

This course is up and coming, and the staff is fantastic! Greeted by Hollywood in the clubhouse, was walked to my cart, and welcomed like I was a regular. The layout is fun, but the greens are a work in progress. Do not go into your round thinking that you’re getting a complete course experience. I can see their vision, and can’t wait to see it come together.

Very fun but the greens left something to be desired. The maintenance crew is working to get it back but it will take a bit. The staff was great. Beautiful but bring bug spray!

Such a great little nine hole track. You can definitely see the love and attention the staff is pouring onto this course. Greens were a little rough but you can see the hard working grounds crew is doing their best to help repair them and make them awesome. Beautiful views and great layout make this a perfect course to walk or ride. I can't wait to see how things progress with the care of the staff and will be back to play again! I have a personal goal of playing every public course in Oregon and will be back to document the overall course for a Netflix style show I am in the process of produc…

My son and I really appreciate the hard work you and your team have put into the course! My son is 8 years old and still learning all the written and un-written rules of golf - so this environment is perfect to take our time and not feel rushed to keep pace. We see all the work and time you have put into the grounds each time we visit and we understand that the greens are a work in progress and it will take time to bring them back - some are in much better shape than others. $2 a hole is a fantastic rate! We live in Mac and we’re happy to support your efforts to keep a public course here! Than…

Hadn't golfed in years, so fun birthday golfing with my son. The course is nice, but the greens were in really bad shape. Made it hard to putt. Also no toilet paper in the only out house out on the course. Hopefully the new renovations I'm hearing about includes the greens.

They were about to shut down for the winter. The grass was mowed, but all of the tee markers and trash bins were pulled in. Some of the cups were off the greens, one of them had pinwheels around it to deter birds. The greens are not in any sort of good condition anyhow. Lots of bare spots and zero grass, just what I'm guessing is Leptinella. At least it rolls fairly well, just not always true. I still like playing this course when the weather is good and I'm in Dundee picking up wine.

I played nine holes there today I hate to be critical of a establishment that is trying to make a go of it so I will just say good luck the course has a decent layout for those can hit it long which I cannot. The greens need a lot of work. Good luck guys.

Dude, the guys here are amazing. I actually lost my wallet and they immediately asked what to do to help. In fact, one of them gave me a ride to my car and another offered to drive me around. I eventually found it in the car so I was able to go home. But I just want to make sure everyone knows how great the workers are here.

In response to Jimmy, Joe, J, and his garbage One Star reviews.. Josh & Lillian (the new owners) come from the family that built Salem Golf Club into the outstanding golf experience that it is. They know what it takes to build and maintain a beautiful course. They have the fire, desire, and the guts to risk what they've built in their young lives, while also trying to raise a family, in order to resurrect this course from the dead. Because of that, they have my total respect and admiration. Unfortunately, the previous lessees and short term owner did not have the right passion, nor the wil…

Formerly Bayou and is thankfully now under new management. It’s great to see the progress that’s being made in getting the course back into shape. Still got a long way to go, but definitely moving in the right direction!
