In summary

Bayou Oaks at City Park offers two golf courses, with the South Course praised for its excellent condition and aesthetic appeal, making it a favorite among golfers. The North Course, however, receives mixed feedback, with some appreciating its value and scenic views, while others criticize its maintenance and pricing. While many commend the friendly staff and enjoyable amenities, there are occasional complaints about inconsistent customer service and communication issues.

A very decent track. There was during the earlier teetimes significant grass clippings everywhere. The rough is a bit high. Greens are in very good shape. Staff is friendly, and the facilities are welcoming the south courses the course to.

This was my first visit to Bayou Oaks at City Park in NOLA since before Hurricane Katrina in 2005. I found it extraordinary, amazingly in great shape for a public golf course. Manicured meticulously and aesthetically pleasing which enhances your ability to play better. It is obvious that the staff takes pride in keeping it in such great shape. It was difficult to find fault from the club house, driving range with track man, tees, fairways, greens and hazards. It was such an enjoyable experience playing there again. Highly recommended.

A mix of links and parkland style. Winds were pretty stiff, 20-30 mph. Tight fairways and run up areas allow for low shots. Green's in good shape, and pretty fast.

The course was in great shape. The staff wasn’t that friendly even knowing why we was there. As a public course I’d give it a 5 start review. Staff and started wasn’t very helpful nor did they care. Green and fairways were in amazing shape and tee boxes were very decent. Great course to go play if your in the Lake View area.

I am a member here, and a good price for the amount of golf that you can play on their mostly pristine south course. Play with the staff all the time, and they are always so friendly, especially Jack, Jane, Lou, Scottie, Ben, Will, Keith, and Leon. Love this place.

I haven't been on a long time also, I'm a beginner but they made upgrades. Very reasonable pricing, there's a good bit of bays. Like I said I'm new so I was able to distant myself from the real good people and swing with horrible form (lol) but overall great place.

Used to play the North course for $30 and they are now recently charging $60… just unreal for the condition that course is in. The tee boxes and greens are about as bad as it gets.

The north course greens have never really been nice and continue to be in rough shape. Fairways are solid. It’s just hard to justify $60 for a weekend round at the north course but if you get a better rate it’s fine

This marks another great meal at the Bayou Oaks Club. It happens to be the closest restaurant to our house. I've met friends and family there for both casual and working lunches. Today, my son and I went to the golf club for lunch . I thought I could get away with a quick hot dog, but they seem to have grilled it fresh for him. It was worth the wait. I had their special, a "seafood cobb salad" with boiled shrimp, friend oysters, and crab meat, with mirliton croutons and real bacon. It was very good and I suggest trying it if you find yourself at the club again

Absolutely uncalled for behavior by the lady at the desk. She was mean, snapped at my friend, and just an unpleasant tone. If you’re gonna act like that stay at home, just unacceptable !

2 excellent public golf courses. North Course is a great value and the South Course is now a LIV course as of August 2025. City Park is a jewel in the city’s crown, and Bayou Oaks is a worthy part.
