In summary

Bear Creek Golf Club receives high praise for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its scenic and well-maintained event spaces, making it a popular choice for weddings and special events. Many golfers appreciate the course's affordability and overall good condition, though some have pointed out issues with uneven tee boxes and course maintenance. While the club is generally well-regarded for its service and atmosphere, a few visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the course quality and rental equipment, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

Bear Creek Golf is such a welcoming course, especially for young adults—which is so amazing to see! Even the course warden (sorry if I’ve got the title wrong!) took the time to compliment my son on his driving, which made his day. We were there for a company golf tournament, and the whole experience was top-notch. Keri was absolutely brilliant to deal with—friendly, professional, and made everything run smoothly. Highly recommend Bear Creek Golf for a fun and positive golfing experience!

I cannot rave enough about the service and the venue here. Kaylynn went above and beyond to make our wedding/new years party go off without a hitch and was super helpful throughout the process. She was the main reason why we chose this venue. The venue was also stunning. We had a winter wedding so the extra Christmas décor and lights added to the winter wonderland theme. I would absolutely book other events here in the future.

Bear Creek Golf Course was the perfect venue for our wedding! The scenery was breathtaking, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of. The venue itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony/reception and photos. From start to finish, the team was attentive, professional, and made planning so easy. We received so many compliments from our guests. Highly recommend Bear Creek Golf Course for any special event! 😁

I was in GP for the weekend to visit my parents. This course was very close to their house so i tried it out. They have very good rates for twilight on the weeknds, i belive i only paid $25 for 18 holes. It was a beautiful course to play on, very good greens. The staffs were also very accommodating. Would deffeninty come back for couple more rounds later this summer.

if you’re looking for a great deal going no further than Bear Creek golf club. I’ve been up in Grand Prairie for a few weeks and I’ve checked out some of the countryside golf courses and they’re all in really rough shape and not worth playing. If I had known about this course, I just play here because it’s only $55 to walk 18 so it’s a great deal. It’s not in the same category as the dunes or the country club but but overall was in great shape.

This is a nice spot but there are things they need to work on. A lot of the tee boxes are very uneven and at least one has a sprinkler or something hidden where you can trip?/roll your ankle. Also, a lot of the rakes for the sand traps are broken in half, making it really hard to rake. Overall, though, we really enjoy this course.

I have been golfing here since I was a teenager on and off and it has always been a pretty good course. This year was my busiest golf year and we put off coming here because certain people claimed the course was not very good. We ended up golfing here about 5 times this year because the course was so excellent everything was an awesome condition and the price reflected that. Obviously the course could use a little work and the clubhouse is small but the course itself was very good very well maintained we didn't have any issues with the actual golf.

2024 update. Still 1 star the only good thing about this place is the staff. The course is swampy, the fairways are atrocious, the greens are some of the slowest and most grainy in town. On top of that the tee boxes are rough and uneven and for the price you pay range balls aren't included and neither is a pull cart. Not that it matters because the new range area only has 5 or so bays and it looks like they hired children to pave the new path and area. The driving range bays are so uneven they just threw mats on rough poured gravel concrete mixture. 10/10 would recommend going somewhere else.

I feel compelled to re submit another review after my last negative review here in May of 2022. During my round in May the course was in pretty tough shape and was charged $80. Needless to say I thought being charged $80 when the course was in that bad of shape was not ideal. However, my co-workers and I gave it another shot today and were pleasantly surprised. The course was in much much better shape and the early bird walking rate with a pull cart of $38 was a great value. Obviously a lot of hard work was done to get the course back into shape. Congrats to the owners and the grounds crew fo…

This course charges the same as the Dunes, but the course quality compared to the Dunes is terrible, They hardly maintain their tees, or switch them around. In order to book a tee time you have to pay for the green fees, Dunes or Country club don't require this, And if for some reason you have to cancel, its non-refundable.. There's a reason there's always ideal tee times free at this course.

We got married at Bear Creek Golf Club this past July and the service we received was fantastic! Our event planner, Shannon, was very professional, friendly and great to work with! She made herself available when we needed her help and was very accommodating. The event center is beautiful and has a large deck off the front with seating. The food was delicious. Our bartender, Leslie, was great and very friendly. The price was great for the excellent service we received! Highly recommended for a wedding or any event!
