In summary

Black Bull Golf Resort is frequently praised for its challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and picturesque setting, making it a worthwhile destination for golfers seeking a test of skill. The staff is generally seen as efficient and friendly, contributing to a positive overall experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with dry fairways and uneven tee boxes, and a few have mentioned that the pricing might not reflect the current course conditions.

Definitely challenging with some narrow holes and longer par 3s. Grass and greens were in good condition (granted it had been raining for 2 weeks). Has a driving range and practice green near the clubhouse and enough parking.

Beautiful Course! Worth the price of admission! The fairways are really good! The greens are fantastic! This course will challenge you! We went as an 8 man group! The staff were very efficient getting us checked in! The venue has a nice clubhouse with a great little patio and a good kitchen, but they also have a second building for events with a bar! The decor around the course is well maintained with nice flowers, and was kept very clean! There are some narrow tee and fairway combos that you need to hit down the middle or your ball is lost! Some nice water challenges, bunkers are also nice! T…

Black Bull is one of many hidden gems in Alberta. My golfing partners and myself have appreciated their "senior" rates a couple of times now. The course was in really great shape as were the greens. I would add this course to your bucket list is your haven't already.

Front desk lady was very short with me and my group, everyone seemed very posh way above the actual quality of the course the course then kicked us off the 7th hole because they were closing without telling us previously the closing time of the course and not providing that information on their website. All in all fun course, but the vibes were ruined no cart girl/boy service sucked:(

A real gem, worth the drive from Edmonton if you're looking for a challenge. Even if you land in the fairway among tight tree-lined holes your unlevel stance may still be unfavorable as you approach smooth, fast and breaking greens. Take extra time before you tee off to consider hidden hazards and shot shape. Can't wait to go back!

Now I know the reviews were up & down! I did get the staff attitudes as they are reflected from over worked! Now some would say that no excuse! No I understand they seem abrasive but once you get to know them it makes sense! Price could be adjusted for sure! Hope your visit is on a good day!

Can't beat $40 for 18 holes including cart. They are 45 minutes from South Edmonton. My burger after 9 was fantastic. Course is in pretty good shape.

Too challenging for a small town course. Fairways are very narrow and the hazards are large. A few hidden tee shots. Very long par threes. Most tee boxes are very uneven and rock hard. They should thin out the bush and trees lining fairways to speed up play. Bring a ton of balls with you.

The championship course is one of the best golf courses that I have played in Central Alberta. Every hole is interesting, and the fairways and greens were in great shape when I played it. Wish I lived closer so that I could play it more often!
