In summary

Blackford Country Club is generally appreciated for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and enjoyable course layout, with many visitors noting the pleasant atmosphere and good value for money. The course, now public and under new ownership, has seen improvements, although some players have experienced issues with dry fairways and worn tee boxes. A few visitors reported dissatisfaction with the treatment of beginners and found the pace of play to be slow at times.

Fairways are in decent shape, greens are beautiful. Not sure if they are changing tee boxes around, some are pretty beat up. The gal in clubhouse was pleasant and helpful. My only bummer on this course is I did not use the majority of clubs in my bag. I didn’t use 3-7i once! I will be back.

Love this golf course. Have a great time here with my papaw and my dad. My cousins live off the golf course and we have a great time finding balls every year! Highly recommend!

We got turned away since we were amateurs. We were truly wanting to play since everyone says its a great sport. Well after spending much money on golfing equipment, calling to get a tee time, explaining over the phone we were amateurs and still given a tee time, driving 40 minutes to the course just to be turned away for being amateurs, I have to say this was an absolutely horrible experience. Even the gentleman who excitedly sold me mu first set of clubs was thoroughly dissappointed in my experience. I guess me expecting someone to take a beginner and give them a great experience to get them…

A fun course. I enjoy the back 9 more compared to the front, but that's expected as the front is original course. Ground is a little hard later in the summer, but no complaints !

Former country club now is a public course. Open February through November. Restaurant closed (temporarily). You have to call for tee times -- they're not online. But the course is open! (Hopefully someday they'll add footgolf.) They need a website.

I have been very impressed by this golf course. Greens are in great shape, golf carts run good, and lady working the pro shop does a fantastic job.

Very rude, do not open early, they want tee times during the week , same people golf tie up the course slow playing , fairways nothing but weeds, greens bare spots , starting to run down not worth the green fees

This course has been a frequent play for me for many years. Since going public and under new ownership it is vastly improved and continuing to get better.
