Borrego Springs Resort Golf Club & Spa

The hotel was probably the nicest in Borrego Springs. The rooms were quiet and the location is great. Unfortunately it ended on a very negative note. I was quoted $201 per night. When our bill was emailed the total for four nights was over $1165. It worked out to over $290 per night. The additional, over $90 per night, was taxes and fees. I was extremely disappointed and will never stay at this hotel again. Guess I should have asked what the total would be before making the reservation.

My daughter picked this resort to stay at for her birthday and the staff made her feel special and even delivered a gift to our room! The rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. We will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you for making our stay special for my family! We had a great time!

Interesting inspirational mid century modern hospitality project. They've had to deal with the realities of an over depleted desert aquifer as well as time. The mid century vibe is alive and current. Golf course is returning to the desert repleat with night skies and furry creatures. Actually, really loved the welcoming 'outdated' ambience. Can't wait to see how it evolves. The fire place social area just off the restaurant is inspiration indeed.

If this is a resort, then I am Superman! :). But I guess if you call yourself a resort, you can charge a fee. We were promised a Mountain View room when I booked, at least that's what it said in the description and so choose the higher price suite. The view from our room was another building. The place is dated, old carpets and old fixtures. The location is not great. I would not stay here again. I would find a place in town.

The hotel is very clean but dated. (I.e. walls are thin and noise carries, etc) For the amount we paid, I would have expected it to be a little nicer but the cost is probably reflective that its one of the nicest properties in the area. Its clean and safe, which are very important.

Amazing food. The waiter was able to answer any of our tourist questions. Great service. The rooms are clean. Very quiet area. Sitting out in the hot tub at night looking at the stars is an experience. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel. Mostly clean aside from the bathroom (tub was not clean). Dated decor in rooms but it was comfortable. Great location to explore Anza Borrego SP. Took stars off for service because the lady at check-in gave us a wrong room number (circled it on resort map and wrote wrong number on card), so after trying to get into someone else's room we had to drive back to reception to get our correct room number.

Truly such a disappointment. Upon checking in I was NOT told about the resort fees that would be charged to my card upon leaving. Never once. Was only told about incidentals. I called the resort and was just told “sorry” not offering any kind of resolution. I travel a ton for work and also work for a travel agency so BIG mistake for this resort. I will NEVER tell my clients or anyone I know to stay here! What a bunch of crooks!!!

This place must have been awesome when it opened. It looks a bit dated but it still has the chops. The rooms are good sized, the facilities on site are great and the restaurant staff are really friendly.

Wife and I had a great stay here over Thanksgiving 2025. We stayed 3 nights and left each day to meet family that were camping in Ocotillo Wells off road vehicle area. The facility is a little dated but very clean, indoors and out. The grounds are well taken care of. We ate breakfast each day at the hotel restaurant. Prices are good and the food was very good. Our room has an enclosed patio looking out to the desert mountain range. It's a great place to come back to, after hiking the desert trails and walking along blooming wild flower fields before the desert heat killing them off.

This place is such a disappointment. We visit Borrego often. We have friends that live here - they held their wedding Reception at this hotel. We wanted a nicer night of relaxation, and they suggested Borrego Springs Resort. Calling this a resort is a joke of the highest order. Best Western does a better job, across the board. The bathroom has mold thats been painted over. The air filter is filthy. There's no conditioner in the shower. The shower has poor pressure and does not get hot.
