In summary

Branch River Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and beautiful setting, which includes challenging holes with scenic views. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with greens, fairways, and bunkers, which are often in poor condition. The new ownership is noted to be making efforts toward improvement, with some noticeable progress, but the course still requires significant work to restore its former quality.

Ok, I'm frustrated at this point. I've been coming here since it was a club and still came once open to the public. That said, I've gone to the range a few times and played once this year. Even got a good deal on a 10 round with a cart package for a great price. I'm trying to let this go because of the new ownership this year but it's hard. Here we go The range is awful and has no yardage stakes to hit at. The tee box for the range is dirt mostly. Dandelion's everywhere. Got balls 2nd time there this year and it was worse so I didn't even hit all the balls. Pointless to hit my sticks at nothi…

I understand it's fall but I've been to 3 other courses in last 2 days and this was the absolute worst one. Greens were terrible, so fast and rutted they needed speed limit signs. Always great when you drive up to where you hit ur ball and it's disappeared either in some pot holes or under the masses of leaf piles. They should be like other courses I've been to and get their lawnmowers out to chop up the big piles. Unless they're counting on all the "lost" balls for their driving range. Was planning on playing 18 but decided I couldn't take the stress, headaches that would come with it. I will…

Run down course, but has potential to be a nice little hidden gem with some tlc. Golf Shop is non existent with nothing in it. No food really. Bunkers overgrown.

Beautiful golf course!! Incredible tee shots from the 12th and 13th holes over the Branch River!! Lots of nats fly around your head but manageable.

Oof. Really bad all around as far as the shape of the course goes, especially the greens that had your ball bouncing like crazy from all the rough/dead spots. Bunkers either like cement or overgrown with weeds. Fairway looked no different than the rough on many holes. Honestly needs to be shut down and revamped completely or its reputation will be completely ruined.

I tried this course out today and found it to be a very fun challenge. Great risk reward par 4’s and lengthy par 5’s. The par 3 5th hole over water was very beautiful. I can’t wait to return

I have played a lot of golf in my life. I have played this course twice in the past. I was Luke warm on it before. When I played today, it was an embarrassment. In the shape it's in, it is the worst course I've ever played. Weeds on the tees and in the rough and fairways. Tees with anthills. The most disastrous, beat up, bumpy, and burnt out greens I've ever seen. Ain't it ain't close. I paid $33 for 18 with a cart thru Golf Now, and it isn't worth 1/2 that much. What happened with the new owners? 1/2 the bunkers are full of weeds. How the hell could this place from a country club to this? Put…

Very nice staff. Good rates and prices. Course is undergoing a major overhaul from previous owners neglect. The new owners are putting in the effort and have a great attitude. For now enjoy the course and be patient things seem to be going in the right direction 👍😊

Golfed there today. Noticeable improvements from just 3 weeks ago. The new owners are committed to making this place great and I think they will do it. The task they are taking on a a big one, but if you are invested in golf in Manitowoc county it is well worth the reasonable rates.

Pretty sad decline since i played a couple years ago. Greens in very rough state, hard to tell difference between rough and fairway. Sand traps are now more like weed traps. Hope they can recover

No fairways tall grass everywhere. Greens had no grass a lot of dirt and old cups still there. Could've been playing in the Arizona desert with those greens. But for $22 not bad.

Under new ownership since Sept 2024. I came for a private women's clinic and finished up at the clubhouse talking to the new owner. His vision is impressive, and he is educated in course maintenance. Lots of changes already and more to come. Good luck, Branch River!
