In summary

Carman Creek Golf Course & Practice Facility is appreciated for its friendly staff and suitability for beginners, with a straightforward 9-hole layout and a well-regarded driving range. However, some visitors have raised concerns about inconsistent closing times, maintenance issues on the course and driving range, and the condition of the mini golf area. While the course's scenic location by the St. John River is noted, the overall experience is mixed due to these operational challenges.

Very nice course, and very friendly staff. The dude working at the desk was very nice to us, I recommend this place and will be back! :)

I genuinely try not to complain about local businesses, but I'm shocked at what transpired this evening. Two excited young kids in tow, we arrived tonight at 6:57 to hit some balls on the range. I walked in, and the guy said, "Sorry, we just decided to close up early (they close at 8 pm) because we haven't had a single customer all day long." Meanwhile, we can literally see three different groups of people hitting balls and a bunch of folks walking up from the course. I said, Oh, k.... So, there is no way to get a bucket of balls for the kids? Guy just shrugged, and the kids literally left cry…

If you care about the way your clubs look do not come here. The driving range is in bad shape, they don’t clean off the turf which has lots of tiny rocks which will scratch all your clubs up (especially irons and wedge). The course layout is not great either, especially hole 5. You are basically screwed on that hole if the wind is left to right.

A fantastic place to visit if you enjoy an informal round of golf. (9 holes)

We golfed today, had a maintenance guy come up to us and threaten to kick us out after 3 strikes for riding on the golf cart , he tried to pick a fight With my father and my father had enough and said shut up and go back to work and he escalated the situation and said said a sarcastic comment on our way out, other than great course but he ruined our day by trying to start a conflict. Should fire this guy.

Apparently, this place closes at 8pm. I came at 645 and buddy says it closed because it’s “not busy enough”, even though it closes at 8. I don’t know, he’s still sitting in the clubhouse, I’m willing to buy a bucket of balls and give you my money, I don’t quite understand.

What an awful course. The quality of the greens are what a fairway should be. The layout is extremely poor. The pull carts don’t even have straps. The tee boxes are are more dirt than grass. The mini golf is awful. The only good thing about Carmen Creek is that they have a pro and a good quality driving range. Played again today, roughly one year after that review. This time it was mowed but not well. Just plain bad, do not go. Driving range was still solid.

I love this course! It's a straightforward and welcoming 3 and 4-par 9-hole course with a breathtaking view of the St. John River. Newer golfers will especially enjoy the course's unpretensionness. Thank you, Jonah, for your friendly and helpful service!

Driving range I found to be quite awful. I'm not an avid golfer and never have been but I do enjoy the driving range. That being said went there to the range and not being a golfer I don't own any clubs. They were only willing to give me irons and I remember a few years ago they used to give you drivers to use and since it's a "driving range" I came to still expect that especially for 22 dollars a bucket. Overall wasn't satisfied also was stung 3 times by wasps as they had a nest in boards in between each tee. Spoke to manager about it pretty much blew it off and never offered a refund or an a…

Great course for beginners and seniors. Easy, short and clean. Pretty level walk. You can get power carts if you want but not needed at all. Nice little club house and canteen.

I haven't been on the course yet this year but I would expect it's a par 3 course in a flood zone. It's only ever been a decent course The reason I'm rating is because I've tried 4 times in two weeks to go hit balls there, twice I was turned down cause it was 845, they say before 830. This week I go and no one is there at 830. Today I go and no one is there at 830. Why I go at 830? Cause I've been working in SJ until 700 so it's hard to get there before 830. Ashame man, they've lost an easy 80$ from me.

Haven't been golfing here in awhile but have watched my daughter play at the Beach courts over the summer. The mini golf is poorly maintained and should be removed or renovated. The beach courts are good but could use finer sand. The golf course is interesting with the addition of a FootGOLF component.Great place for a quick round and a beverage at the bar.
