What People Say

In summary

Chedoke Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic setting, historical charm, and layout that offers a mix of challenging and easier holes, making it suitable for various skill levels. The staff is generally praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the course provides good amenities, including a retro clubhouse and on-course refreshments. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as dry greens and uneven tee boxes, and have experienced slow play due to course congestion, particularly on busy days.

It's a big beautiful old public park with some history to it. It's over 100 years old. It was very laid back when I played on a Sunday afternoon. Most people who play here are shooting 100+ strokes, so it can be slow on busy days. The benefit of shitty golfers is that most people will let you play through. You can power through a round and meet up with 5 or 6 different groups in one afternoon. It's an easy easy golf course under 6000yds with three or four drive-able greens. It's good for walking; despite it being on an escarpment, the course is quite flat with some wavy fairways. There's not…

It is an interesting course with fun, special attentions for the pedestrians who are walking trial with dogs or friends, or a delivery guy on bike. Seems it is open to residents.

Better direction signs are needed to get to the course. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon waiting on every shot. Fun course to play with elevation changes guaranteed by the proximity to the Niagara Escarpment.

First time playing. Ranger was friendly and provided some history and advice off the 1st tee. Great scenery. Glad we had a cart but walking would be great exercise.

First time back since the season started, walked the Martin and had a great time with the wife, Mitch helped us at the pro shop and was amazing, explaining the course and getting us started, thank you for the great time and experience, will be back!

Chedoke is a challenging course with good hole design but when we played some of the tee boxes had been moved to temporary locations making it dangerous. We had golf balls landing within feet of us, even had one bounce off the roof of the power cart we were standing at. The course had some detours because the bridges were closed that took us across the front of other tee boxes and some parts of the cart paths were washouts that were better suited for atv's. Hopefully they get all these issues fixed because it has the potential to be a great course.

Just wanted to use the range but had to buy steep fees. Failed first impression. Cause of pot holes all over, dead skunk on road and buildings are disrepair. Strict and little bit discrimating dress code.

Overall had a good time, however the starters were absolutely terrible. Our start time was suppose to be at 4:05 we were there 5 minutes early, they were getting mad and telling us to hurry up even though someone else was on it and we only got on 10 minutes after our start time where they kept pushing us to go faster because there were people behind us. They have to be less on a power trip overall fun experience.

My husband and I golf Fridays, prefer Beddoe, unfortunately last couple times we left on 15 th hole. Very backed up, too long to wait to t-off. No Marshall's to complain. Not a cheap course. Won't golf there again.Person in the front desk didnt seem to give a darn about my issue.

Best Civic Golf course in Southern Ontario Not one , but TWO 18 hole courses and an incredible retro Clubhouse that gives players that ole nostalgic "Golden Era" feel. Complimented by amazing staff and incredible food If all that fails you There is ICE COLD BEERz

Great challenging course for someone of my skill level. Well maintained tee boxes, fairways and greens. There are a few on-course snack and refreshment stands. Power carts are also well maintained. Very picturesque and quiet with decent elevations.

It is the worst course I played- the course is poorly organized and we got hit by balls multiple times and reported the pro shop and no one cares. These are the guys not waiting to hit the balls
