In summary

Clayton Park Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability and suitability for beginners, offering a hilly, walking-only 9-hole layout that provides a good opportunity to practice the short game. The course is noted for its friendly atmosphere, though some visitors have experienced less than welcoming interactions with staff. While the course offers a fun and casual golfing experience, several reviews mention the greens being in poor condition and the need for better signage.

This is a great course for those who want to work on their game in an affordable and low-stress setting. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is a nice chipping/putting practice area. They don’t do tee times, so you can go at your own pace, play solo, or join up with others if you want. Don’t come here expecting a championship PGA course and you’ll have a fun round. Things to know: there are no water hazards or bunkers in play, but there are enough challenging shots navigating hills and trees to keep things interesting. Most of your shots will be up or down hill. Although most of the h…

Course is nice. Basic public course. We live nearby and my college age kids enjoy going with their friends, but the counter people are so rude. They always give the guys a hard time and seem to be looking for fight. My kids just stay polite and ignore them. You work at a golf course shouldn't you be happy?!?

So many Delco golfers cut their teeth at Clayton because it qas accessible, inexpensive, and set up for beginners. It is NOT worth a $22 flat rate however, so I will not be coming back nor referring it to anyone ever again. I am not the only one that feels this way. We already get taxed alot in Delco as it is. I'll be taking my money elsewhere and so will alot of other people. Nice job Delco Council! Keep the hits coming and see whose left when you're done!

Guy in the pro shop during the morning is very friendly and I have never had a problem playing at Clayton over 50 times except it can get pretty slow in the summer. Not the best conditions but for the price you can’t beat it. If it was still last years price ($13) I would give it 5 stars.

I like this course for several reasons: 1) I get to walk the course...no golf carts allowed. 2) The cost is quite reasonable and 3) the greens are so slow I can putt the ball hard without putting it past the hole ten feet!

Guys in the pro shop are extremely rude. Me and my friends love the course and always show proper etiquette and respect, but are always met with hostility in the pro shop no matter when we go. The older guys in the pro shop are simply rude for no reason, the rest of the course is great for the price.

Can’t beat the price. Great place to take a beginner or work on your game. Greens are small.

Holy crabgrass. Nice afternoon for 9 holes. Greens need some of TLC but not complaining as price was good. Will return

Fun little course to play if you’re looking for a relatively quick 9 holes at a very nice price. Paid $14 with a rented pull cart on a Wednesday afternoon. The course is laid out in an interesting manner with some very downhill and very uphill par 3s, with some a few 250+ yard par 4s sprinkled in, and it is a generally fun set of holes if you want to work on your game. Overall it was a very pleasant ~hour and 40 minute round. The only negative I would say the greens are in pretty rough shape. Spend some time on the practice green before playing and it’ll give you a very good idea of what all…

Beautiful hilly country course - walking only - nice man in the pro shop- road construction and the humble golf house makes the entrance easy to miss

Clayton National Park....where do I truly start? Is it the well-kept greens? Is it the majestic views of the power lines and route 322? Or is it the fact that these 9 holes resemble the back 9 of Pebble Beach better than any other golf course in the Western Hemisphere. This course bleeds true greatness. With legends like John Daly, Arnold Palmer, Louis Oosthuizen, and of course the great American war hero Jim Brown, starting their careers off at this prestigious course, it has grown to be a golf factory for the up and coming young talent. Professionals have gone on the record saying the second…

This is a great 9 hole beginner’s course. It is a course to work on your short game and to teach kids and novice golfers. Rates are low. The greens are not that great but again it’s a beginners course.
