In summary

Dyersburg Municipal Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and enjoyable course layout, with some visitors noting the greens are in good condition and the course offers a challenging play. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding maintenance issues, such as poorly mowed fairways, dry or unkempt greens, and outdated facilities. While some golfers find it a solid value for a casual round, others express dissatisfaction with the overall upkeep and management.

The layout is straightforward and enjoyable, making it a good spot for a relaxed round. Some of the greens could use more attention, though they are all playable. The fairways as well could be in better shape, but still allow for a decent round. The course plays fairly forgiving, making it suitable for different skill levels. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the pace of play is usually good. Overall, a solid value for golfers looking for a casual round in the area.

The cut grass was laying all over, dried, and in clumps. Easy to lose your ball. They need to mulch or bag. Also, the greens were very dry. The carts are tiny, so if you are over 200lbs, good luck. Club house looks nasty. In general, the whole place is not maintained.

Played here 6/28/2025. Carts were nice. Tee boxes are not defined and haven’t been mowed in quite some time. You’d think they’d at least have them mowed on a Saturday morning. Fairways and tee boxes are 90% crab grass and clover. The greens were the best part of this course, unfortunately, the holes haven’t been moved since God knows when. Nearly every hole had 1/4” of grasss hanging over the entire perimeter of the cup. In my foursome, I saw at least 6 putts lip out that would have easily dropped on a properly cut cup. All in all a decent course. Wouldn’t drive out of my way to play it again.

This is a Bermuda grass course which has its peak during the warmer months. If you play the course as laid out you will play most of the clubs in your bag. Not just another Driver wedge course.

Very rude management! Was accused of driving in fairways on a cart path only day. Lady came out of the clubhouse screaming. Absolute absurd behavior, will not be going back. Carts barely make it around the hilly course. Fairways or rough? Hard to tell!

Fairways were only mowed on the edges. If you drove the middle of the Fairway you were in danger of or at least spending 10 minutes looking for it. The person that mowed the greens mowed them too fast and scalp the greens they also need to adjust their greens more where it mows level as you also was scalping the green and leaving high spots making it very erratic when putting.

Course has had some great improvements over the last 2 years! Greens are awesome and just fast enough to keep it fair. Some great staff also.

I've been playing this course since 1997 it is in the worst condition I've ever seen it in. I will probably not go back into the conditions improve. The mosquitoes will carry you away. Cannot even find your ball in the middle of fairway .
