Escalon Golf Course

Its a course for some one about to learn to play golf. The greens were under repair the flags were in the fair way so impossible to putt which we did not get told about it. Tee off boxes had tall grass . Pretty much course not in good shape.

This course is a very big safety risk there has been many holes I’ve fallen into because of no tapes of area of marker as you can never see anything in the swap conditions there. Also the staff may come off as nice but as time goes on they will blame regulars for the things young golfers do. Also there greens have goffer holes they don’t fix but just move rhe dirt off the green sometimes not at all. If you’re familiar with the book “Camp of the Saints”, this golf course is currently the real life golfing example. Back in the day when the original family built and ran it, this place was on point. Nowadays, like the book says, “they’ll take your 500 year-old oak door and use it for firewood.” :(

My son and I have been to Escalon Golf Course a few times to use their driving range. It's $12 for a full bucket of golf balls. We usually get 2 buckets and spend an hour and a half to enjoy the afternoon. This place is in my little hometown of Escalon.

Although the staff was amazing the course is really run down. Fairways not kept up and over grown. Out of bounds is like a jungle and they don’t tell you the greens are no good. Played 9 holes and wasn’t able to putt at all. They should be more transparent about the condition of the course.

A nice golf course to play 9 / 18 holes. Or you can practice your shots in the range. The prices were reasonable, friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Definitely would recommend for a family day out playing golf. If you don't have the clubs, they rent them out too.

The fact that they charge you to play, there is a joke. Do not bring your putter, cause you won’t need it because there’s no greens to put on.

Your greens are in sad condition, you need to take care of the sides of the fare-ways better to much debris

I called and made a tee time and when I arrived the next day from Turlock he said the greens are being worked on. They didn’t mention that when I called. They don’t seem to care at that course.

This course has the potential to be great, I wish they spent more time fixing it up. Still fun though

Wanted to love the course , and yes staff were nice when we were there. This was the first course I played when I started over 20 years ago. But not having played in 10 years , and takimg my teenage son for the first time out on a real course. Extremely disappointed. Horrible conditions everywhere. And like lots metion, the greens( if you can even call them that ) are unplayable. If there wasn't a flag, you would never notice them. I almost fell into random holes a few times. Course is in terrible condition. You can’t putt the greens. It’s like they turned it over to the frisbee golfers. It’s overpriced as well. There are much better courses nearby for a lot less money.
