In summary

Fernie Golf & Country Club is praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful mountain views, and friendly staff, offering a pleasant golfing experience for players of all skill levels. Visitors appreciate the course's layout and the quality of the restaurant and food services. However, some guests have encountered issues with customer service, particularly in the pro shop, and noted occasional inefficiencies in course management, such as unexpected pairings and slow pace of play.

Played a twilight round on the back 9 and really enjoyed it. Some challenging tee shots, 18 is a beast half moon and the pin positions weren't a breeze for a Tues (ladies night?) Nice practice setup with the chipping green and lots of range space. The layout between the proshop and having to go upstairs to the restaurant for a beverage seems a bit clunky. Not a very efficient setup at drop-off to the parking lot either.

Great views, nice quiet course. The staff is friendly and the view from the deck is fantastic! Kids camps are a great deal and a fine way to get your children involved with golf at a young age. Check this course out for even a short 9 holes if you have a chance!

Played Sept 15th. Rained the whole day but decided to tough it out. Would definitely play it again. Shout out to Dan for being a gracious host! Hopefully see ya next year

best course of my life I would golf there forever, the dark haired middle aged lady provided me with the best personalized service, the greens were rolling at a good speed and the landscape was very promising and gorgeous, the holes were surrounded by wildlife and felt very natural to be playing on the course. After my round, i ate dinner at the BayLeaf and i was given great service and great food and a reasonable price. Overall i would definitely golf here again and play another 18 holes, as well the cart girls were very friendly and offered good service.-Chris Peacock age 61

Very poor handling by the staff. They maybe have a nice golf but Jaffray, Crownest pass, Cranbrook are by fare much much much more friendly. Fernie never again 😵‍💫😵‍💫.

Great course, being a par 70 is slightly annoying. The course is in very good shape but lacks the awe inspiring views that other courses in the area have. Staff was very friendly, but range balls were extra and were off mats. The course was very well maintained and the course has a fun layout for all skill levels. The food and the restaurant staff were fantastic! Very reasonable pricing and they offer a very diverse menu. Definitely stay for the food if you are playing. The wait staff were incredible! We will definitely be back!

Three friends and I came here on July 7th for a girls’ golf trip, and were immediately met with arrogance and blatant misogyny from a young guy and an old man at the pro shop. They were condescending, dismissive, and made it painfully obvious that they didn’t think four women belonged on the course…even asking “do you guys know how to golf?” It was insulting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

As promised, I want to give a huge shout out to Matt!! He was amazing and very accommodating to our group. I had made a mistake and thought our tee time was for Thursday. When I got there for our tee time with my family from Saskatchewan, he asked me to read my email. I misread it and the tee time was for Tuesday. I was horrified. I was so busy that week with my son’s wedding and booking other tee times for other family members I completely dropped the ball. So Matt made some phones calls rearranged some tee times and he was able to fit us in! I just want to let him know how grateful I was. My…

Absolutely amazing view. Driving range was wide open but could fill up easy as there aren't many stalls.
