Galt Country Club

Nice place! I was only here to attend a Celebration of Life event. The upstairs event room was a good size with views of the beautiful golf course out the windows, and seating outside on the balcony to watch golf. The bathroom was clean and the staff was friendly. There is a large parking lot but seems to fill up quickly on days where the weather is perfect for golf, leaving less space for event goers.

Gorgeous course. First hole is challenging as there is a creek in front of an elevated green. Holes 13 to 16 along the grand river were breath taking. The course was impeccably groomed. Beautiful bunkering as you'll see in some of my pictures below. Very nice clubhouse too.

Lovely food for work events and of course views too. Sometimes their group menus are lacking but we had a smaller meeting and the food was excellent. Service was good as well. Hallways and meetings rooms are over air-conditioned for most guests.

Best golf course in Waterloo region! If your looking for a private course to join....you can't go wrong with Galt. The holes on the grand river are absolutely spectacular. The greens crew do an amazing job keeping the course in excellent condition throughout the year. Everyone at the club is really friendly too

Great golf course, lots of character and some very senic holes on the back nine down by the Grand River. The course is relatively short and fairly easy to walk. No driving range and a practice area you have to bring your own balls. Update: As of June 2018, they have built a brand new practice facility with 40 yard long hitting net and a large putting/chipping green is on the way. The facility also offers club fitting services and great coaching staff, using the latest launch monitor technology. I highly recommend contacting Vic Ciesielski if you're looking for lessons.

What an incredible place, i was here for a reception after a fantastic wedding. The place was easy to find, lots of parking, service elevator for those that need it along with a large ramp. The place was in excellent condition, everyone was incredibly polite. The facilities were clean. The hall on the second level was quite large with room for nemerous tables and a dance floor. Also a balcony off the hallway heading into the hall, which over looked a beautiful fairway. I recommend from a visitors standpoint anyway. Thanks

Amazing weather in May made the course play like summer golf. Had a rough start with drive lost in creek. But recovered on the back with only one penalty, shot 84. The course was in amazing shape and I will play again in June.

Great mature course designed by Stanley Thompson and built in 1906. The back nine is very scenic with holes along the Grand River.

Golfed a twilight round with a friend who is a member. Absolutely loved the course and conditions for May. It was in amazing shape and has some of the healthiest grass I've seen on a golf course. Impressed with them keeping the pesty Canadian Geese off the 14-18. New additions to the warm up facilities were a bonus. I will be going back as soon as I can.

Very attractive venue. Good food.

We were there for a family/friends wedding and it was beautifully done. It was outside and set up nice and the reception hall was done well and the staff were very attentive and helped with whatever you needed. The room was big and kept private away from all the golf members so you didn't feel like you were at a golf course. The food was delicious, I had the beef and it was so tender, the cheesecake with berry compote was soft and the right amount of sweet to end the dinner. They made this wedding a beautiful experience that won't be forgotten.
