In summary

Garrisons Lake Golf Club is appreciated for its enjoyable and interesting course layout, with well-maintained greens and a good pace of play. The staff is generally noted as friendly, though there are several reports of unprofessional behavior from certain staff members, particularly regarding pace of play enforcement. Some visitors mention maintenance issues with the fairways and parking lot, as well as ongoing construction and limited clubhouse amenities.

Garrison's Lake is a what you see is what you get. I played here for the first time and I enjoyed it. It's a great course to play in this area without any frills. There is a driving range available. It's a course where if you're bad, you're bad. If you're good, you're good. 😂 Don't expect a fancy clubhouse. I suggest packing your food in a small insulated lunch box and you'll be fine. The staff are super nice. Will definitely be playing here again. This is an awesome course for beginners and those who need to practice on building their game. A great course management practice course. You will…

Fantastic course! We had a blast out there yesterday despite the wind but hey it's part of the game. This course is a little banged up not only on the fairways but the parking lot is a bit tight and there's not many guiding signs for the pro shop it just had a small paper on the door of a single trailer which might get confusing for new players. Other than that the course is very fun to play, great looking holes with an awesome layout. Not much water to worry about but the bunkers are deep and tough to escape they're all over this track. White tees play just shy of 6,300 yards which for my ski…

Terrible ownership. Hunted down by a heavy set worker because I took my family out there. I followed his rules that he had previously set, but today it was a problem. Used to be a family friendly golf course. It’s not anymore. 100 better courses to golf in Delaware. Don’t waste your money. Update Garrison, I 100% respect and appreciate your safety concern for the people enjoying your golf course. We addressed our kids about the proper etiquette on the golf carts when he approached us. The biggest issue I had was the worker setting a standard for the rules on previous outings and then having…

I had read that conditions weren't great but that's not the case. This is a really fun and interesting course with some great looking holes. Pace was great as well (under 3 hours on a beautiful Saturday afternoon).

The front nine had clumps of wet grass piled up all across the fairways. The greens were in great shape but everything else was poorly maintained. If the price was 40$ I wouldn't have cared as much, but 60$ for a course that looks like that is to much, go to any other course in the area for that price.

My experience at this golf course was horrible, and the way we were treated was simply unacceptable. This was my very first time golfing, and I was invited by a few friends who are experienced players. Unfortunately, from the moment we stepped onto the course, we were followed by staff and made to feel uncomfortable before we even took our first swing. While we were trying to enjoy the game and learn, one older staff member made repeated insulting and dismissive comments. During one swing, he interrupted to say, "Clearly you don't know a lot," which was not only unprofessional but also complet…

The course is in good shape and very enjoyable to play. However, our round quickly turned sour when their extremely rude course ranger came up to us accusing us of playing slow. We had a foursome and actually playing on pace, but we had a threesome playing behind us who we could tell were low handicap or scratch golfers. We tried to explain to him that the group behind us were good and we would just allow them to play through, but he got extremely rude with us. Said we couldn't let them play through and then continued to follow us and hound us the the next two holes. Once he finally seen that…

My first time playing golf & my first time here & it was one of the worst experiences. I just stepped to drive my first ball (with the help of someone else) & staff members pulled up right next to us telling us to hurry up & pick up the pace. Mind you, we just stepped up to drive & we were on time for our tee time. We may have been a minute or two behind only because their golf carts had no supplies ready (cards/pencils/etc.) We apologized for the inconvenience & hurried through to the next hole. On the second hole (again stepping up to drive) another staff member approached us again telling u…

Great course. Little pricey for the conditions though. Also if you want to walk the course it's the same price. No discount with or without a cart. Guess they need to pay for cheap 3 pack of balls they give you every round. The course was easy to walk but come on man....you guys are ripping people off. Still working on there clubhouse for over a year now. So if you want food you better bring your own.

I’ve been going here for years. New management parts of the course I see are getting better. I do agree with other people car paths certainly do need work. Also agree with the gentleman that spoke of the starters supposed to hurry things up quite frankly, the starter slowed things down. Don’t particularly care for his demeanor. Also, the blue tees were taken away. Spoke with other golfers. They agreed that starter is slowing but down from their experience. We had loved the course.

I would love to give a more stars but the grass off of the fairways is just to long. We each lost balls because of that. (Good drives not great) but when you look for an otherwise easy to find ball and can’t find repeatedly, somethings wrong. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Hope whom ever is in charge starts looking at the full program.
