In summary

Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is appreciated for its challenging layout, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, with recent improvements under new ownership enhancing the experience for many. However, some visitors have noted maintenance issues, such as overgrown bunkers and fairways, and inconsistent service in amenities like the driving range and beverage cart. Despite these concerns, the course remains a popular choice for its value and community atmosphere.

4 stars ONLY because of frozen greens. A heads ub about rock hard greens and horrible pin placement would have been nice. The layout is awesome, as far as technicality, perfectly challenging. Will absolutely be returning in the summer to try it out for real.

Gleneagle is a public golf course in Arlington. It's easy enough to get to and has a huge parking lot. The pro shop is smaller and their restaurant and bar area is a good size. Their range is in dire need of an upgrade, including buying more buckets for balls. The course itself was in good shape, with only a few dead spots on some greens. Prices here are pretty good and the course runs through a big community so driving a cart is recommended as it's sometimes minutes between holes. It's definitely on the easier side of difficulty for courses in the area but worth playing because of the value.…

It was an average course. We had a good time but the course has no services at all! Even at the driving range for our warm up we had to shag our own balls because they didn’t have anyone retrieving balls. It’s 80° and there was no beverage cart at all!! The gal in the pro shop was very kind the pace of play was good. Also, very hilly course to walk!!

Bunkers were overgrown. Fairways were left with mulch and bad irrigation. Greens were ok. Some standing water on a few fringes. This place needs improvement or they should sell and let someone revamp it. Driving range also looked like a dump. They did however have cart girls go around quite a bit. That is where they get 1 star.

Played Glen Eagle recently and honestly, it was pretty disappointing. The tee boxes had overgrown grass, so finding a flat, clean spot to tee off was a struggle. The sand traps were a mess—a few were full of water, and others had weeds and random plants growing in them. It didn’t look like they’d been taken care of in a while. The fairways weren’t much better. The grass was about the same length as the rough, and the layout is super uneven—lots of slopes, dips, and weird lies. Half the time, landing in the fairway gave me a worse shot than being a little off to the side. The one bright spot…

Amazing golf course after new ownership! Greens are immaculate, sand traps are well kept and beautiful. Ambassadors come by regularly for help if needed, beverage cart is always coming by for refreshments, and overall super welcoming and above and beyond service by staff through and through. We played today as a family outing with 2 of us golfers, the other 2 "golf support specialists" 🤣 and had the BEST time. Cannot wait to play again. Have lived in Gleneagle for 20 years and never seen the course so wonderful, and know there are plans for so much more development and improvements! So its a…

Love having a course so close to home. Wish they didn't nickel and dime you with fees. Just raise the prices on drinks and food. Don't change service fees and to go fees. Course is a fun track and very playable. Fair price for tee times.

First time playing this course. Played the blue tees. The course doesn't play long but it demands proper club selection and shot placement. Great challenge.

Great community course in Arlington. New carts and some of the best rates around.

They've done so much to make the course better under the new ownership and I've really been enjoying the womens league on Tuesdays.

We are members of Harvest Hosts, so we stayed the night in our RV and my husband golfed the next morning. I drove the cart and took pictures and it was lovely. We each had a beer at the pub the night before and we were greeted kindly and everyone was friendly. The course is in good shape and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his game.

I would not recommend this course to anyone. The course in a state of disrepair. Some of the greens have big black dead areas. The sand traps have little or no sand and contain weeds and rocks. In the driest days of August there were areas of oversaturated grounds. There are stairs out on the course leading to the t boxes that are so rotten they crumble under foot. There is very poor or no signage directing you to the next hole when navigating the course. There are huge potholes in the cart paths.
