In summary

Gold Canyon Golf Resort is frequently praised for its stunning natural setting, well-maintained golf courses, and spacious accommodations. Many guests appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, as well as the resort's amenities, making it a popular choice for weddings and events. However, some visitors have noted inconsistencies in service, maintenance issues, and a need for more thorough housekeeping, which detracts from the overall experience for some.

Positives: beautiful property with stunning views; spacious, clean rooms; quiet, peaceful area. Negatives: Compared to other 4- or even 3-star hotels, they skimp on housekeeping and in-room supplies (coffee pods, toiletries). You can ask for these things, and they will give a tiny bit, so you'll need to make multiple requests. The service was inconsistent. The bellman was a bit rude/snarky upon arrival the first day. On the second day, we ordered room service dessert and were told it would take about 20 minutes. An hour later, we called to check and found out they had forgotten our order. On…

We got married at Gold Canyon Golf Resort & Spa in March 2026, and the entire weekend exceeded every expectation. The property itself is absolutely stunning—every backdrop felt like it was made for a wedding. Our guests loved the accommodations; the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and made the whole stay feel relaxed and enjoyable. What truly set this venue apart, though, was the team. Charlene and her staff handled every detail with precision and care, making the entire process feel seamless and stress-free from start to finish. We also happened to have our wedding during a historic heat…

Lovely area, featuring two public 18-hole championship courses: Dinosaur Mountain and Sidewinder. As stated by Golf Digest, both are highly-rated. You will also find a small golfing apparel/supply/gift store, hotel, restaurant & homes to book through Airbnb. Sunrise & sunset views are beautiful from the golf course, looking out over the valley. Definitely worth a visit.

Room was very roomy, and the bed was very comfy. For the price, it had better be. ..be prepared.for steps getting to your room. Fireplace outside room was cute, but you need to be a firelog.from them or it is a 25 dollar cleaning fee. Hot tub was.nice. restaurant was nice, loved my half rack of baby back ribs.

I had to write this review because it is a stark contrast from my previous one 2 weeks ago. In response to my last review, Scott, the director of Golf contacted me and sincerely apologized and even offered us another complementary round which I wasn’t expecting. We took him up on the offer yesterday And it was absolutely fantastic. From the pro shop with Tobin and Katie, all the way to the bag drop with Shawn (starter), Bill and Jason…. Everybody was so helpful and fantastic personalities. The course was in great condition and moved smoothly. No one in front of us to wait on and no one behin…

The property itself is absolutely beautiful. We arrived at night and the staff was so nice. We had the hardest time finding our buildings since there’s no arrows pointing anywhere lol, but once we finally did we were happy to see how nice the room was. Be aware it’s quite the hike!! The only complaint I have is how hot the room was, and there’s a sign above the thermostat that says the unit will freeze if you put it below 70. Well that 70 is more like 78 lol. I was so uncomfortable the whole time and sweat all night. I think if you’re paying 200+ for a room you should be able to have it we col…

Thank you for making my stay right! I love this place! Great food, spa, and rooms! The staff was all so quick to ask if I needed help with anything, carrying luggage or a ride to my room! The place is definitely running better under your leadership Travis! 100% recommend!

my husband and I stayed at the resort last year for a few days and we came back this year and the service was fantastic but I’ve got to say the hotel is looking beautiful. The decorations seem really updated and I can tell that a lot of work has been done in the year that we have visited. it looks updated and professional. great job!

Played Sidewinder golf course on May 3rd. The conditions were very inconsistent on the front and the back nice from 11-16 were awful. Worse golf experience that I have ever seen in AZ. Club house blamed rain in March but there should be a disclosure or warning up front and discount. Dinosaur mountain is so nice, how can you allow Sidewinder to be this bad??! We will not be back.

We left a day early due to multiple safety and maintenance problems. The staff were pleasant, but the property clearly needs significant investment. Key concerns: - Rooms and safety: warped window, inappropriate quick fix with a towel, and a possible safety issue with stairs that may not meet code. The TV didn’t work. - Hot tub area: tiles around the hot tub are disintegrating, causing debris in the water. - Trails and grounds: hiking trails were poorly maintained and some were missing; unclear map/descriptions led to hours wasted searching for trails. - Dining: dinner menu was inconsistent;…

We have stayed here twice, as a little "staycation" since we don't live far away. It is a very romantic getaway, especially with a sunk-in jacuzzi style tub in the room. We played a round of golf, ate at the restaurant, and enjoyed the fireplace in our room. It was a beautiful day!

Out away from all the Hustle and Bustle. Definitely something for the Ritsy Chitsy(high class type folks). The golf course looked excellent though, should have brought my clubs and snuck on for a few holes 🤙🏼😎... The catering staff was top notch for ppl wanting to hold events here. Such as, Florence Copper, who were very very very I'll prepared 🤷🏼‍♂️
