In summary

Golf Le Portage is often praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with many golfers appreciating the fast, smooth greens and strategic tree placements. However, some visitors have reported issues with management, booking errors, and course conditions not matching the price, particularly after adverse weather. Booked on a Monday for Sunday. When we arrived they had no booking. Surprisingly this is not the reason for my rating. The very nice young guy at the pro shop then went to get his manager. Manager is just plain rude from the start. We were simply trying to figure everything out and manager says "impossible that you booked a week ago, we book up as far back as April". 2 sentences later he lets us know that it was impossible that I booked more than a week out because they only book 1 week out. You're now reading this, as confused as I was when this small rude man was explaining it. We weren't m…

The course is not worth the price they charge especially when more than 50% of the greens were patched up due to heavy rain falls. Nothing special about the course, kind of boring. Will not be playing their again.

Le Portage is a traditional tree-lined Quebec course. Greens can get rolling fast with good undulations. Working the ball off the tee and reading the greens properly is key to score well. The clubhouse has everything you need with friendly, helpful staff.

Management of this track is poor. Kids running around yelling and screaming, hiding in the bushes and purposefully trying to instigate problems, no starter, no marshall. When I went to complain, no staff, no access to bathrooms etc. When I email the club, they tell me not to blame their starter who had worked 10 hours that day. Wow. I wasn't blaming the poor guy you forced to work alone for 10 hours in 38 degree weather, I am blaming the management of the club and facility. Clueless. Bunkers hard as a rock.

Best Golf in Quebec period. Well managed, well taken care of, clean woods no leaves or branches and the greens are professional grade. You will not regret playing here and even will what to come back.

Course has a nice layout. Conditions are great but some fairways are a little hard and it's hard to take a divot. Greens are great, and just a little on the fast side.

Play was way to slow. For a private course playing in just under 5 hours is way too slow. Members need to be told to speed up.

Nice track. Excellent greens. Trees strategically placed to be in your way if off line.
