I drove up 1.5 hours from Herrin to play here because it was on a WSIL golf card. Where have you been all my life? This course is absolutely beautiful! The people were cordial and the cost reasonable.

Course was really good shape for the most part . The sand traps are non existent. There's no sand in them . Not much for yardage markers either . Biggest downfall of golfers is not knowing the yardage. Lot of guess work here . I enjoy the solitude of course . It never felt crowded at all. I will definitely be back here sure.

Course was in pretty good condition. I enjoy playing the Ladies Tournament. The course is pretty. Love the natural Wildlife areas that have been preserved. More drinking water on the course would be nice

New restaurant. Called the Fine Swine. Very delicious BBQ. Ribs are succulent and tender , smoky flavor. Different flavors of sauce available. Pulled pork and sausage are to die for

The course is in really good shape even with the intense heat we've had recently. The staff is great and always helpful.

TRASH.... I've played over idk 50 courses the past few years, and this is tied for the worst! Conditions are horrible and the price is ridiculous!!!!

Absolutely the most unprofessionally operated / managed course I’ve had the displeasure of encountering. Book a tee time, but don’t count on them honoring it. They let us get there before letting us know they were having a tournament - so wouldn’t honor our tee time. No phone call - just an unpleasant demeanor from them. Never again.

Played Governor's Run this afternoon. What a fantastic course! The staff are extremely friendly and Jim has got to be the nicest Marshall I have ever met. All were very helpful for a first timer at the course. This course is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Since this is my first year playing golf, I found it to be a challenging course but very fun to play! I played off the white trees, but should have probably played the gold. No matter, I had an absolute blast playing, probably, my worst round of the season. 😉 Next time I'm down in the Carlyle area, I will definitely be visit…

Friend said this was a nice course. Played 8/26/23. T boxes were horrible, dirt and crab grass tufts. Carts are old gas carts that give you whiplash when you start going. Course itself was a nice course, conditions were not the best. Hr drive for us, so may try it again in a couple years.

Love the layout of this course. Lots of fun holes. It's in good shape, but if they poured more money into it they could have one of the top courses in the area.

Course is fairly nice but website is open year round even when they aren't, was allowed to book and showed up to be told we couldn't play
