In summary

Hillcrest Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained and scenic layout, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience with its elevation changes and wide fairways. The staff is generally described as friendly and accommodating, and the course provides good amenities, including reasonable pricing and a driving range. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as overgrown fairways and poorly maintained sand pits, and there are occasional concerns about staff attitude and the lack of senior discounts.

Great place to get out there and enjoy the day. The staff is always friendly and the course is well maintained. I started jumping around the area looking for a golf course 2 years ago and decided on Hillcrest as my best option. Everyone I’ve met while playing has been welcoming, I really enjoy meeting the other members. I’m truly blessed to have found such a positive atmosphere to decompress and enjoy the sunshine!

The golf course is beautiful as ever!! However the staff who works it can be the rudest people at times. The lady at the front shows attitude when you show nothing but respect and the workers question and show pure rudeness when playing on “their” course. I rate the course 5/5. I rate the staff who works there 0/5. Get your act together if you want loyal customers to keep coming back! I love the course and hope to keep coming back, I just wish the staff would show me the same respect as I show them!

Absolutely a gem. Only public course in CV or Indy. Well maintained, lots of elevation changes, friendly staff, very reasonable prices. They even lend you a mini cooler to keep cold drinks on hand when they aren't on a bev cart. Driving range, being your own mat and rubber tee if you want one. Otherwise, it's just a driving range.

It's a good course. There aren't any real challenging holes, I think. It's fairly open and not very long. The condition of the course was consistent throughout the summer, and it seems pretty busy. 18 holes for $19 (walking) or 9 for $14. I think the cart adds $6 or $7, but I'm still young. Being from Independence, there isn't anywhere else to go close by, and I'm perfectly happy making the drive anytime I want to play.

They have decent greens for this area. The course is fairly wide, so it helps me with my slice. They are affordable with good staff. The only negative I could think of are their sand pits aren't in the best of shape.

1) over priced 2) good greens, just too slow 3) fairways were ab an inch shorter than the rough, making hard to distinguish the two at times. 4) #11 hole is super cool with the elevation. 5) overall, fun and easy course to play.

Dry as a bone tee boxes, rough approximately 2 ft tall, fairway about 4" tall on a good portion of the holes with tufts of weeds growing, to be honest this could be a phenomenal course. The problem is funding for appropriate maintenance. The course itself is great and challenging (without the extra hazards). Wish it was better cared for.

The greens on the back 9 are just sadistic. Very similar design to Southern Hills. It'd be cool if the course had more funding. Very down-to-earth.

You might as well tee off in a hayfield! Its clear the greens keeper isn't doing their job. Hole 6 par 3, better hit the green or you're digging in mud. Perry Maxwell would be disappointed...
