We had our daughter's first birthday party at Holden Hills' in their new event space, and it was wonderful! Elaine who helped us with the booking was very sweet. She then put us in contact with Marco, owner of MCL Caterer, who handled all of the details from finalizing the booking, to the amazing menu and setup. It's such a great space and was plenty of room for our 50+ party size. There's a bar and bartender, which was perfect for our adult guests. The covered deck space and patio were great for more enjoyment space! I can't say enough about Marco and his staff, they truly made the day stress…

So I give five stars solely on my experience and realize this course might not be 5 stars for everyone. I usually snag a late afternoon tee time, 5pm - ish, as a single and have no problem playing the course at my pace. It’s a super fair price at that time, I’m not bumping into a ton of groups, and I don’t have people hitting behind me. With playing at the end of may and beginning of June for my first times here the course is in great condition. A few greens are less than perfect, but for the price it’s very fair.

They take great care of the course, and there have been some great enhancements made over the course of this season that really make it feel like a top quality course.

Course in great shape this year (2025). Plenty of tee times, not overly crowded and fair pace of play (at least during the week).

Able to get off the 1st tee on time. Play was a bit slow for most of the rest of the round. No starter or marshal making sure pace-of-play is maintained. Lots of recent work done to the grounds, course is in good shape.

Attended an event Buffet food was good. However, the handicap entrance had a very high step up at least 8 inches, into the building. I had to have 2 men carry my wheelchair /scooter in and had to be helped into the building by 2 people. That entrance was not accessible. A small ramp would solve the problem. Golf courses are notoriously unfriendly to handicapped people. However, this was a public event and open to the general public, it was a funeral gathering. Even the hill to get to the entrance would be extremely difficult for a person in a manual wheelchair. I had an electric scooter so I w…

Best course in the area. The work that’s being done to take the course to the next level is amazing. Tee times need to be spaced out a little longer.

Course is currently in very good shape. I play just about every week, and unfortunately the tee boxes have consistently been backed up, making you wait on just about every hole. Not sure if this is slow players or tee times too close together, but definitely needs to be looked at.
