We had planned an almost completely outdoors event, and the weather took a crazy turn and we were expecting rain almost all day long. Tod and his team were absolutely amazing and kept their cool (and the party going) as the rain picked up and made things a little precarious for our tented reception. We absolutely loved having our wedding at Lawrence Plantation this October! My now husband, mother and I looked at multiple venues in the Rome area, and this was the perfect fit for us. The venue is beautiful-it overlooks what used to be a golf course, with rolling hills and beautiful trees in the background. Beautiful Venue. But HORRENDOUS Manager. My sister had her wedding here this past Saturday and TODD WILLIAMS, the “manager” completely ruined her wedding. By the looks of the previous reviews I have seen, my family and I are not the first ones to have a horrible experience with this so called “manager”. Which is unfortunate because the venue is beautiful but definitely NOT worth dealing with Todd.

I can't even begin to say how amazing our wedding was at Lawrence Plantation! Todd was the absolute best at helping us plan every detail before the wedding, and helping us keep things on track the day of. Every single on of our guests were amazed at the beautiful views this venue has. The reception area is large and stunning! The drinks - even better!! Played in a disc golf event this weekend at this beautiful property. The staff, especially Shay, were just wonderful! Karaoke, live band, good food and drinks; couldn't have been a better venue.

Rehearsal & Wedding We held our rehearsal, wedding ceremony, and reception here. What an amazing and seamless weekend we had! From the beginning of our planning Todd did a phenomenal job of helping us by offering many suggestions for how we could make the venue work for us. This is a STAFF rating. I inquired about a day pass since I am traveling from AL & was told that there is such a thing (great). However, the man I spoke with on the phone was incredibly rude. He seemed confused about the fact that a woman could be named Tyler and was borderline hostile on the phone. Very weird. I have never had an experience like this one before lol. The warm and inviting welcome that each member receives when walking through the gate is a bonus...and thank you Todd Williams for your constant walk around the pool during which you stop and speak with each member!!
