What People Say

In summary

Huntington Park Municipal Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained fairways, scenic layout, and friendly staff, offering a good value for the price. The course features a mix of challenging and novice-friendly holes, with recent upgrades to the clubhouse and greens enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play being too fast and the condition of the greens and golf carts needing improvement.

This is a much more beautiful course than I expected. The only issues I had while there was they were rushing us the whole time there. Everyone in my group is a beginner to mid level. By hole 9 we unfortunately had to send one of our guys home so there was 5 of us starting out the back 9. We all joined together at that point and we're immediately told that if we dont separate to 5 or less per group we would be kicked off the property. So we obliged and waited but all that did was make the groups behind us have to wait much longer. They were rude and didnt make it a good experience for someone…

Pros: The fairways were nice and sprawling and easy to play on. Cons: The greens were just about all completely void of grass. The golf carts are not in the best of condition. The price was a little high for the quality of the course. It cost right at $55 to play with a cart here on a Saturday.

First time out for a 67 yr handicap veteran , the course is played out nice . But course is unrealistic with their play times . We where spoken to on tee of hole11 that we had to pickup pace . Again on hole 15 , then followed each hole there after by ranger . We finished in 4:20 minutes for a foursome of to adult males a novice woman and a 100% disabled veteran. That included a pee break and a hot dog grab at the turn that was called in on 8th tee . When we finished I asked the club house manager what the expected he said un-apoligeticly 4hr play. Now I don't know about the average golfer but…

One of my favorite courses and things to do in Shreveport. People here are so nice and down to earth. Grass is well kept. Good mix of challenging and novice ones. Highly recommend.

This is the most racist club ever. My car was broken down on me at this club. Those guys got in a golf carts. Roll past me didn’t open. Their mouth didn’t say anything did not offer any type of help. Look at me and turn the head got in the vehicle, drove past me, looked at me and turned a head. I won’t tell anybody to join this club.

Clubhouse updates look great. Lots of good merchandise to choose from. Very helpful staff. Course is clean and well managed. Good food is available from their grill. All in all, a good place to go swing clubs whether you’re alone or with the family. Not a super swanky place, but a quality city course at a decent price. Good value and enjoyable experience!

Well maintained course with novelty laid out holes. There are only a few water holes, but plenty of yards. Barbed wire at the yards is a little offsetting but not worthy of stopping the play. Bring your spare balls. Marshall's do well to keep the game moving. Fun course, good food, and clean bathrooms. This is a great course for Shreveport for the amateur or the semi pro.

My fiancé and I and a couple of his buddies went golfing here. We really like the course other than the Marshall following us to every hole and making us feel uncomfortable and super rushed. We had stopped so we could all go to the bathroom and he was rushing us along to hurry up, can’t even enjoy ourselves and have a good time

My only complaint would be the trees that need to be trimmed. Being a city course I would think they could cut back a lot of the limbs that keep grass from growing. That being said it’s heading in a great direction and keep up the good work !!

Nice municipal course and a great bunch of folks running the place. Was traveling to Texas and stopped to get in some golf. Nice layout and good value. Greens rolled well and good speed. Layout is rolling and a little water and tree lined. Mind you not an Augusta but if you want a nice track at a good value this is a great little golf course. And everyone went out of there way to welcome us and take care of our needs.

Do not waste your money here. 50 bucks to play a round and the greens are non existent. Literally they were black in color. I’m astounded they even have this place open and can accept money from people. Foam was missing from the seat in the golf cart and it didn’t have working brakes. Fairways were fine, but for the price and green quality, I can’t give anything but one star. Worst course I have seen in my life.
