Hylands Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained and scenic courses, which offer a blend of challenging and enjoyable play for golfers of all levels. The club's amenities, including a welcoming clubhouse, friendly staff, and a variety of dining options, contribute to a positive overall experience. While the club is noted for its excellent facilities and reasonable membership rates, some visitors have experienced issues with booking tee times and occasional slow or rude service.

I visit mostly in January and February for winter sports. They have a few options and an equipment rental shop so I don't have to worry about having my own skis, etc. The restaurant is usually open as well and the food there is good and affordable. Nice friendly staff too. They also cater to large groups so nice to bring family or coworkers for fun day out.

Great option for membership if you're military or work for DND. The members & staff have been very welcoming to me as a new player. Only downside is the course can be quite busy & is not very easy to get an optimal tee time if you are trying to book a larger group, and the clientele tends to be retiree-aged (if that's an issue for you, I have no problem with it). I see myself coming here many more times throughout the summer!

Held a workplace winter sports day here. The activities that were available were: 1) x-country skiing 2) fat bikes 3) snow shoe 4) skating Everyone had a great time and thankfully there were no injuries. Parking is free. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, just a lovely group of people tending to the visitors and the EXPANSIVE golf course turned into a winter activity hub. Kilometres and kilometres of trails for fat bikes and cross country skiing. There are loops for 5 km, 9 km and 14 km available. I hear they can cater a lunch for groups as well, there is a minimum number but…

This place offers golf enthusiasts a captivating blend of scenic beauty and challenging play. Nestled amidst the rolling hills, this course beautifully utilizes the natural terrain to its advantage, creating a series of holes that are both visually stunning and strategically designed. Each hole presents players with a unique challenge, demanding precision and strategic thinking. The fairways are well-maintained, and the greens are consistently fast and true, making it a joy for both amateur and seasoned golfers. Beyond the course, the clubhouse amenities and professional staff ensure a welcomi…

What a beautiful and fun golf course. Beautiful 36 holes can be played. It is membership only however, it’s worth the money as the course is really well maintained and the service is super friendly

Fun tracks (they have 2 18s), fairly straight forward but has some long, challenging par 4s. Practice facilities are excellent, food and beverage service at the clubhouse is quite good. Didn’t see a beverage cart on the course which was a bummer as it was a very hot day. Value is quite good compared to equivalent courses in the area, they offer a slightly discounted rate for veterans which makes me happy!

A fabulous place to go x-country skiing in Ottawa in the winter. And it's open to the public. Two great golf courses in the summer, but need a member to get you onto the course.

⭐ A Hidden Gem for Events, Dining, and Drinks ⭐ Although I’m not a golfer myself, I find myself at Hylands Golf Club quite often for events, and every time, I leave thoroughly impressed. This venue is an absolute gem—not just for golfers, but for anyone looking for a refined space to host or attend gatherings. 🎉✨ The reception room 🏛️ is spacious, well-lit, and elegantly set up, making it an ideal venue for anything from formal banquets to casual get-togethers. The attention to detail in the setup, from the table arrangements to the ambiance, is top-notch. The staff is always professional, e…

Well kept and manicured golf course with a military history. Close to the international airport with jets taking off frequently. This was slightly distracting for some but I found that it was new and interesting and actually helped improve concentration. It's all about you viewpoint and golf should always be a half glass full experience. A challenging course with everything a golf course needs for a great experience.
