In summary

Island Green Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout featuring an "island green," and friendly, accommodating staff. The course offers a unique 9-hole setup with different tee boxes for a varied 18-hole experience, along with amenities like a driving range and clubhouse. While most visitors appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and affordability, there is occasional criticism regarding the behavior of certain staff members, which some found off-putting.

It was my first time golfing here yesterday. There was a bit of confusion at first as we showed up and were told that we didn't have a tee time as it was the Club Championship day. We straightened that out and teed off on time at 1145am. This is a 9 hole course with a back 9 where you play the front 9 but from a different tee position, for the option of an 18-hole course. We played 18. There are some challenging holes, notably the "island green." Anything short of a perfect tee shot, and you'll end up in the water. I found this course was extremely well maintained with the exception of one…

Great locally owned and operated course with a twist. 9 holes with two sets of tee boxes per hole so each one plays twice but different. Plus the daunting island green! The course is equipped with a driving range, power carts, pro-shop and clubhouse. The staff are delightful and we felt very welcome there. Course plays fast with a lot of roll. Hard greens make this couse about your approach and short game. The small size means it plays quickly, too if you dont want to spend the whole day on the course and challenging enough for new and average golfers to easily sped five hours playing.

They layout can be a little confusing the first time out, but it's a food course with a friendly staff. They also have a driving range. The range caps at 250 yards, but it's also on a 20° incline, so it works out. Recommend for affordably accessible golfing in NS. Only an hour and 20 minutes from HRM.

Great little course. We try to get out a couple times a year and they seem to make great improvements every year. It's got nice views, great staff and is a cheap way to spend a couple hours loosing a dozen balls...... unless your a decent golfer. I would recommend this place to any golfer at any level!

I am pleased I stumbled across Island Green Golf. It exceeded my expectations in every way. It teases you with a relatively straight forward 1st hole and then challenges you for the next 8 holes. The fairways are in decent shape but the greens and surrounding fringe are not only in great shape but are extremely challenging but fair at the same time. know you club lengths because the terrain is steep in sections and there seems to always be a breeze. The round is worth it for the views alone. The staff/owners are engaging and involved and it made for a very enjoyable 2 days of golf. Thank you S…

Today was mine and Chris' first time. I didn't bring jacket or sweater thinking I had one in car. Was raining and cold so decided to see if they sold any in clubhouse. Yes, indeed. The lady was an absolute gem in helping me. Not only that, she graciously offered me a blanket for the cart. I am forever grateful for her. We had a few moments of downpour and, unfortunately, after nine holes, decided it was too miserable to carry on. I promise you this, beautiful course, fabulous staff and we cannot wait to try it out again in fairer weather. Thank you for an enjoyable, albeit wet, half round. Jan…

Great little course, well maintained for the most part. Lady at the front was very nice and respectful considering the size of our group. The old guy who works there is the most entitled and arrogant individual I’ve come across at a course. Followed us around “to keep an eye on us” even though we did nothing wrong. Typical old guy profiling younger aged individual’s. Would definitely come back if we didn’t come across that guy. Unfortunately none of us will be back now…
