In summary

Mallard Pointe Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful layout, challenging design, and scenic setting near Sardis Lake. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the well-maintained practice facilities. However, some golfers have experienced issues with course conditions, such as bunkers lacking sand and greens under repair, and have noted occasional slow pace of play due to management of tee times. Despite these concerns, the course is seen as a hidden gem with ongoing improvements under new ownership.

Ithe course has a beautiful layout and challenges are built into on the back nine. The staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. As it was already fall -and moving into winter I will definitely come back next year when temperatures are much better.. played at chilling 8 degrees C / 50 Fahrenheit which is cold 🫣.. condition of the course where not so good but mooch be due to the season.. greens where challenging fast 😅 overall a great layout and the course has big potential to be much better in its condition …

New ownership has made huge improvements. Greens are in great shape, smooth and fast but not too quick. Fairways and green surrounds in excellent shape. Beautiful layout in the wood near the lake. Excellent pro shop and grill. Big range and practice. Very nice staff that are very accommodating. GPS on carts. Cannot beat the price!Looking forward to playing here again soon.

Horrible management of the course! If you want to sit for 10 minutes in a cart and wait to do your next shot- this is the place for you! If you want to have lousy management letting a group of 6 play 2 holes ahead of you - this is the best place for you. If you absolutely love to have dust instead of a sand in the bunkers - you will be amused! If you absolutely enjoy turning around after 4th hole and trying to find out where the course marshal is - you will adore this place!!!! The best solution by the check-in staff is “I'm sorry”. Little advice - make sure to book a tee time 2 hours after th…

My wife and I played Mallard Point for the first time today, and we really enjoyed it. The staff were nice. The club house had everything you’d want during a round. I read the reviews, some weren’t so nice, and was a little worried about the experience we would have, but we enjoyed our round, and plan to go back again. Yes it looks like they are working on their greens. But when they come in I think they are going to be very nice. So all in all no complaints here. Though…a souvenir ball would be nice. My wife and I collect them from all the courses we play. Maybe they were out. We got a poker…

On vacation in the area and picked mallard point for my wife and I and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and the course was in really good shape. A couple tee boxes and a few greens need some help but still a great value. Pay attention to the in cart gps there are some surprises around and fairways get tighter.

From out of town on a work trip and called in to get a tee time around 4 and was able to get us in! The younger guy at the counter was super nice and easy going. Course was perfect and good people. Will definitely play here again when we come back!!

The marshal stopped us at the first tee box and would not let my husband and I play with 1 set of clubs even though we were riding in the same cart. I do not have my own set of clubs because I am a beginner golfer. He was quite rude about it and even threatened me by saying “don’t let the marshal catch you golfing”. This is a beautiful course that I would have loved to play with my husband, however, the amount of rules that are enforced by the quite hostile marshal reaches astronomical heights. If you like to be fully interrogated before you even get the chance to tee off this is the course fo…

Very beautiful, the greens need little more work. But I know they will get it done right. I will be back...thanks for a great time.

Everything golf is supposed to be. The course is in great shape, the layout was challenging, awesome practice facilities, and the clubhouse couldn’t have been more accommodating. I’m from near the coast and have been on nearly every course down here in the last year and having that experience I can confidently say that Jimmy Dawkins and his staff are doing a great job. I could see plenty of improvements in progress and we couldn’t have been treated better. Too bad we aren’t closer because we would 100% frequent this place.

I live in Oxford I’ve played here for years. I became a member once it opened back up. The staff is amazing. The layout is great. It is truly a hidden gem in Mississippi. They have villas you can stay in next to the 45,000 acre Sardis Lake and public hunting land all near the area. I honestly like it just the way it is and don’t want more people out there, but this place deserves credit for one of the more fun courses in Mississippi. They have done such a great job managing the course and getting it back into shape after reopening the golf course a few years ago. I’ve played golf in Europe, So…

Tee times to close together. Ended up waiting to play holes for people in front. To be as pricey as you are: Fairways needed mowing. Felt like hitting of concrete. Bald spots in many areas. The greens were awful. Also the Marshalls need to be replaced. I don’t want come play golf and be hurried off the first tee when people are in front of me and then be watched if felt like through out the day. Inside staff were great.
