In summary

North Shore Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with amenities such as a practice range and pro shop receiving positive feedback. However, some visitors express concerns about the high pricing relative to the experience offered, noting issues like slow pace of play, lack of basic course signage, and ongoing construction that affects availability. Despite these drawbacks, the club remains a popular choice for its overall atmosphere and welcoming environment.

Enjoyed my last golf to celebrate my 2025 winter. Lots of Canadian goose and friendly crying. Green condition and golf course view was good. Membership price looked good

First off, they definitely put a lot of work into this place. Everything looks better maintained and it really is a fun course. The range is probably one of the best in the area. All of that said, this course has the feel of being run by people who don’t know how to run a course. I play A LOT of golf at a lot of courses and the fact that my round cost more than The Home Course is ridiculous. 98 dollars for walking is insane. It’s the little things, it was crowded and the Marshall didn’t seem interested in picking up pace of play, there’s no signage for how long a hole is or where to go, there’…

Great Layout, But Missing the Basics (And Overpriced) I visited Cedar Irons this past Sunday with a group of friends. There are definitely some bright spots following the recent spendy remodel. The new practice facilities are very nice and conveniently located, which got our day off to a great start. The employee in the pro shop was also a standout—extremely polite, informative, and highly professional. Furthermore, the actual layout of the course is fantastic. The tee boxes were all flat and well-maintained, and the greens were in good shape; they were a bit slow but rolled very true. Howeve…

This place is literally perfect, good bathrooms, good pro shop, good amenities, excellent practice range that has it ALL! Seriously 10/10. Update: it gets better every time I go! I LOVE it here! The concrete dividers have been taken out in the range bays so it great! Thank you!

I worked a company golf tournament here. Customer service was great, people were nice. Facility is a bit run down, and the food is just okay. But the bartenders are super nice!

I played this course in October-November of 2025. I got there and they said the back 9 was closed for renovations. I called them today 5 months later and the back 9 is still down. What a clown show to have half your course down for 5 months. Not worth playing at, if it's run like this.

A tough challenging course, well maintained, nice area to warm up, they don't have a restaurant, but I hear it and a Casio is planned. They have beer and cocktails from the cart person, had fun over all. Tight fairways lots of deep defending sand traps. They have recently put a lot of work in the course.

The staff was friendly but there's no driving range, no practice green open, no signs to mark the holes, and no stakes showing distance to the green. It also costs $50 to golf 9 on a weeknight which is significantly more than the other public courses in the tacoma area. The course was okay, but not worth the price. The holes were only challenging in annoying ways, like uphill greens so you can't see where you're chipping, or dog legs right after the tee so you can't use the driver on a par 5. There's also no clubhouse, just a tent with hot dogs and cans of beer. There are better places to golf…

Way overpriced for what you get here. $101 to play the back 9 twice. I cant imagine what the price is going to be when the front 9 is completed along with the new clubhouse. There are many better options to go to at the $100 level. Pace of play is terribly slow here most of the time and dont be surprised if you get stuck behind a group of 5. The staff is friendly and the new improvements are nice but that doesn't justify what they are charging people to play half the coarse.

The front nine is closed but the warning on the website is not visible on the mobile website unless you scroll through. Full price and would not give any discount. Ridiculous.
