In summary

Northern Pines Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful scenery, and challenging layout that combines links and traditional styles, with many appreciating the friendly and accommodating staff. The course's setting, with views of the mountains and the Stillwater River, enhances the golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with the enforcement of group size rules and the behavior of the course marshal, as well as occasional slow pace of play.

My girlfriends and I work in the golf industry in Nevada and we were on a golf trip. This course was by far our favorite. Staff and management were accommodating and friendly. The course was gorgeous. This is a must if you want to golf in this area of Montana. ❤️

I went to Northern Pines on Wednesday May 21st and the course was in excellent condition already. Experience a few weather issues as far as Rain and small hail storms, but other than that I had a very enjoyable round of golf. Clubhouse staff were very welcoming and helpful in providing directions to Restaurant, range and first tee.

Bachelor party, 15 guys hit the full 18 and had complete blast! Beautiful course, well maintained, with spectacular views of the mountains and the back nine plays along the river.

If you want an amazing golf challenge, then this is it. If you spray and pray, then you better bring a lot of balls. You get the best of both worlds with this course, links and traditional. Greens are fast, fairways are tight, and the rough is thick. Hit em straight and aim at the indicators. Did i mention, hands down best sandwiches in the valley. Cookies are home baked and delicious. The pro shop is full of knowlegeable staff. Sorry, no photos, they just dont do justice. Have fun and take dead aim.

Course is in great shape - true, quick greens, and the tee boxes are excellent. Very walkable, long walk between 16-17 is toughest climb. Nice layout - fun place to play.

Playing it now. Not a bad course, but definitely over priced. Also 1 yardage marker per hole and it's at the 150....and it's blue. Golfed so many courses all over, blue is ALWAYS 200. It's a 1 time thing to mark the course appropriately. Do your job. Completely unacceptable.

Course is in great condition with beautiful scenery. Don’t expect to be able to golf in a group of more than 4 people. A group of 6 of us booked a tee time well in advance under the interpretation we would all be together. It wasn’t until after we all paid that we had to split into groups of 3. The ranger watched us like a hawk during our round to make sure we wouldn’t regroup. I get there’s certain rules but maybe communicate that to us before we pay a lot of money to golf at your course.

Incredible course! I've played a few times in the past and recently returned for 18 holes. The staff are so nice, and the course is in great shape. My foursome and I had a great time playing in early July. Pace of play was perfect, the course was well maintained, the range is a great place to warm-up, and the overall golfing experience was nice. Be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen since it is a very open course!

Great course. Always in good shape and always proposes a challenge. However, we had a situation with the Marshal, which was out of our control, and he didn't handle himself very professionally. Other than that, I really can't say anything negative about the course and the rest of the staff.

Being new to the area, I drove by this course many times at the end of the 2020 season. The look of the course from the street (93) makes this course look inviting. Now that the 2021 season is in swing (pun intended), I opted to join this club. I have played several rounds and try to get out at least once per week. I love this course. It's a course where you have to plan your shots (as best I could) and not just blast away. As the rough gets higher I can see where the course will get tougher and you better be hitting the fairways. Greens are in great shape, putting green is nice as well, and t…
