In summary

Norwood Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, decent layout, and value for money, especially considering the availability of early tee times and youth programs. The course is generally described as open and suitable for both beginners and experienced golfers, though some areas are in need of maintenance, including greens and fairways. Criticisms focus on inconsistent course conditions, such as uneven tee boxes and bare greens, as well as occasional issues with customer service and driving range upkeep.

The price is slightly higher compared to what's on their website. In general, it is a good place and decent price to practice hitting the ball. Not too crowded. People are here to practice. No loud distracting music. I had a hard time making the ball stay exactly where I wanted to be on the mat in crosshair in the beginning because it kept rolling 1 inch to the side. I am suspecting the concrete below isn't exactly level below on certain spots, but figured it out other level spots on the mat afterwards.

Calling this place the third worst golf course in America is wild! There are 3 worse courses within 5 miles of Boston. This is a fun track that is open enough for beginners but still has elements that challenge more experienced golfers. Is it maintained beautifully? No, but since that list has come out, they've definitely put some resources into getting it back into good shape. Are the fairways flat? God no. Drive slow on them if you're having stomach issues. Do range balls bleed onto the first and 10th holes? Absolutely. Honestly, though, there's a decent range and for $65, you can have a rel…

The track needs work, but it's got a good design. If they threw some money into this place for upgrading the fairways, bunkers and cut back some vegetation you wouldn't be able to book a tee time. Senior riding rate was very fair ($56) but it's flat and easily walkable. I think the best thing about the place is the employees, they were friendly and helpful. I'll play again sometime.

1st time playing here...it's a nice 18 hole course. The staff were all nice. Course is in descent shape, there are some rough patches but it's clear that they are working on improving it. Has the potential of being a really beautiful course. For the most part the fairways are pretty open with some challenging water hazards, bunkers and bushes. Good mix of par 3-5's. Overall it was a good experience and will definitely be returning for more rounds.

This place is fine. Better than the reviews might suggest. They’re clearly trying to make some improvements, and all of the staff were pretty friendly. Greens were a little bare and bumpy in spots. Fairways in decent shape. The low planes overhead might annoy some folks but I found it entertaining. The clubhouse is pretty sad, but you just walk over to Mick Morgan’s instead.

I always go here because 80 golf balls cost only $15 which is alot for 80 golf balls. The driving range itself is nice and quite and also the driving range is right besides the Golf Course. Overall great experience here

Used the renovated driving range today, $15 for 80 balls (large), after work. The biggest peeve was the large granular sand on the hitting mats. Bad for the clubs and hitting stance. Why can't management use a lead blower and clean out the entire hitting area?!?!

Utter disgust from this course! I paid the same price as I would getting a flaming hot steak in Seaport Boston...just to hit balls in a swamp? I mean seriously? This course is easily the worst I have seen, mind you I have played Ponkapoag as well. The pricing and staff here are ridiculous and never treat me with my respect...let alone respecting my wallet. I went to hit a shot on hole 3 just to sink my leg into a foot of watery mud. I had an idea of what I was getting myself into but could have never dreamt of something like this. I will never even consider stepping foot on a property that tre…

I don’t usually make reviews but this felt like I had to. This was my first time ever trying to book a tee time at this course. I called the course asking to book a tee time as I usually do anywhere else. As I was asking about available tee times to the lady who answered at the pro shop she immediately cuts me off with a very aggravated and rude tone to her voice, “YOU HAVE TO BOOK ONLINE”. I then expressed how it was my first time booking a round at the course and didn’t know. She continued to say “YOU HAVE TO BOOK ONLINE”, without giving me a chance to talk. Needless to say I BOOKED ONLINE.…

Driving range is ok. You know the balls are a bit firm when your hitting the yellow flag with a 8 iron @175yds. You will be very disappointed with the golf course and likely won't ever play there again, I know I won't be.

This is, without a doubt, the worst golf course I’ve ever played. It shouldn't even be called a golf course. The greens were in horrific condition—I've seen abandoned fields with better grass! It's honestly embarrassing. On top of that, the bar staff was just miserable. The gentleman behind the counter had absolutely zero personality and seemed to go out of his way to make the experience worse. This place should honestly be closed down, it's a total waste of time and money. Avoid it at all costs.

If you come here looking for Augusta National conditions you will be sorely disappointed. That said, you will find a decent track with nice staff and a good layout. The bev cart girl was very friendly and came around 4 times during our 18 hole round. The starter/ranger was cordial and hospitable, and did a great job keeping the pace moving on a Sunday morning (finished in under 4 hrs). Heads up, that there are sprinkler heads in the greens (a feature of a lot of old-school courses) but you are entitled to relief if they impact your putt in any way. The tee boxes were a little spotty and a coup…
