Affordable course, nice layout, easy to play. An errant drive on a couple holes will put your ball out in the street. Clubhouse is good, staff is nice and they don't follow you around the course like some do. Decent driving range with a net about 250 yards deep. Gas carts. If you want a fun time in the middle of Ocala proper, then be sure to tee off here.

The course is always in great shape. They are constantly updating. Good clubhouse with a decent food and drink selection.

This is an update to my review of 2 years ago. The Ocala Golf Course is one of my favorite courses in the Silver Springs area. The course is well taken care of and a joy to play. The course is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I like the uniquely designed 5 par 5s and 5 par 3s. It is worth the effort to come and play golf here. I definitely recommend it for all skill levels.

I've been playing Ocala Golf Club off and on, over the past forty years visiting my Sister here in Ocala. I moved here a year ago, and play it regularly now as a member of the Tee Program. And, I must say that the course is in the best shape I've ever seen. Add to that, the friendliest staff, and it's by far, the best "Bang for your Buck" in Central Florida.

I actually liked the facility...nice enough driving range if you dont mind artificial turf....which I like at driving ranges. Nice turf to hit your irons on. Also had a nicely maintained chipping and seperate putting greens. My kids bought me a range membership and thatt has not went smooth, and is the reason for the 3 stars. After asking on the phone what time they close, and in person to verify it was 6:30, there was nobody there 2 of the 3 times i went. Granted i dont leave work till 5 and get there around or a little after 6....which is why I asked. One day was 6:09 and the other 6:14, lig…

I was amazed at the hard work and diligence the staff has at Ocala Golf Club. Almost did not want to leave. From the golf shop, to the cart manager, to the starter, and the grounds maintenance people. Incredible work ethics. The course was in great shape. If only one suggestion, to provide more water stations, and replace the fountains. Grounds were beautiful. I took pictures of the trees, ducks, and turtles. Golf was awesome.

It’s a dump! Terrible muni course with untrained staff. Starter let two separate beginner twosomes go in front of us. Lots of first time players. I do not recommend this course for serious golfers.

Went to the 19th Hole restaurant, the waitresses/staff are super friendly and nice. Food I ordered was really good too.

No way to reserve a t-time without paying in advance. I would rather go elsewhere! Sorry!

I have been playing this course since 1997. I was told that they have a new guy as superintendent his name is Sean. So i decided to play today and I am blown away as how outstanding this course is. Over the past few years the fairways were sparce at times, lots of wet and worn areas and the greens were always plagued with problems. These greens are spectacular. All the problems they ever had are gone. It is very rare to find greens that play at this speed that still receive a ball. Usally they are dry and crunchy. These greens play soft and lightning fast. If you have any doubt as to how good…

I played the course last week. Pace of play was great. Pro Shop and Staff were very helpful. The course is in decent shape. Some tee boxes hadn't been mowed in a while and others were spotty. Fairways played pretty well and greens rolled true, slightly slow. Restaurant is under renovation so no food. No drinking water on the course but cups and ice are provided which was helpful. Course is not difficult. Would definitely play again. Price is very reasonable.
