In summary

Oshkosh Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, scenic setting, and friendly staff, making it a popular venue for both golf and events. The dining experience, particularly at TJ's Highland Steakhouse, receives high marks for its quality and service. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's lack of memorable features, high green fees, limited amenities such as water availability, and occasional issues with pace of play.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here recently, and it was such a wonderful experience. The venue offers a beautiful mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, with plenty of natural light and scenic backdrops that are perfect for photos. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly for the couple and their guests. From a photographer’s perspective, I loved how versatile the grounds were — from the elegant interiors to the lush greens outside, every spot photographed beautifully. If you’re looking for a venue that’s both elegant and comfortable, with a team…

This is a nice course, but it doesn’t have any real features. It looks like the same routing from 1899, that being said it has some charming Par 3’s and nice clubhouse and facilities. The greens were just aerated, so that was a bummer.

Oshkosh CC was in excellent condition with great fairways and small and sloping greens. The course doesn't have any memorable or breathtaking viewpoints or holes, though holes 14 and 18 provide nice visuals. Being open to the public, it is worth playing once, but I can't imagine playing again due to higher green fees comparable to similar golf courses. Expect to be nickel and dimed many ways. For example, they have free range balls for members but literally take them away when the public tee times start even after paying $87. Also, there was no free water on course, and didn't even see a drink…

5 star dining in a very cozy, Scottish Plaid decor. 5 star chef. Popovers and the best lobster bisque soup I have ever had for starters, great wine list, wait staff second to none. Reservations highly suggested. Business casual dress code. Very busy during holidays and weekends. Great for anniversaries and special occasions. Memorable dining in the heart of the Fox Valley.

We played a weekend event here for the North East Wisconsin tour over the weekend and I have some notes. The course is pretty flat except around the green complexes. Sand is decent. Decently maintained. A fair bit of bunkering with decent, although not consistent, sand. There are a few challenging holes, the 9th hole is what I’d call a gimmick hole, mid iron off the tee. Water is the primary hazard and runs around most of this course. Areas that need improvement: Drink cart, we saw the drink cart three times in thirty-six holes, on a weekend. There is NO drinking water and no where to fill you…

Mediocre course at best! $83 for 18 riding is outrageous for how poor the course conditions are. No water in the ball/club cleaners. No beverage cart and no water coolers. The tee boxes are junk, some are sloped and they put the tees on the slope. They should be ashamed charging $83 to play this bottom of the barrel golf course.

Only thing that would make it better is playing a round, was visiting UW Oshkosh and coach brought us out to the course. The Titan ladies are lucky to have an amazing home course!

TJ's Highland Steakhouse. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, she had the Caesar Salad, I had the beet salad. The fried cheese enclosure around the salad proved to be so tough as to sucessfully resist my efforts to cut it with a new steak knife! She had the tenderloin steak, I had the seared Ahi tuna. We had a drink a piece. She a gin gimlet me a brandy and ice. Service was wonderful, our server Alexandra was excellent. The quality of the entrees was very good. We sent the first serving of popovers back. They were from yesterday, cold and collapsed into unrecognizable balls of dough. The…

The staff was a little rude. They wouldn’t show us where hole 1 was and just kept pointing. Pace of play was awful. There were some groups of 6+ and by home 15 we left. That was 5 hours I won’t get back.
