In summary

Over Lake Golf Course is frequently praised for its picturesque setting, challenging yet enjoyable layout, and friendly staff. Many golfers appreciate the well-maintained fairways and greens, along with the unique amenities like the driving range and golf carts equipped with ball and club cleaners. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with drainage, tee box conditions, and overgrown trees, as well as inconsistent enforcement of dress code policies.

Played 18 here today for the first time in decades. I felt it was a great value to walk for $20. Ultimately, I think this course is underrated compared to other courses in the area based on overall listed rating.. Hard to find a more picturesque layout. Fairways were in great shape, greens seemed recently aerated, but otherwise were fine. More interesting holes than most courses in this area at this price point. I’ll definitely be back to play this more often next year.

Golfed today and it was awesome!! The course is looking good. New groundskeepers and it shows. Front desk staff friendly and welcoming! Give it a try this year…. You won’t be disappointed.

This course truly is beautiful! The staff is friendly, the greens are well maintained and the driving range is the only one in town. The front nine holes are challenging but not too hard for a beginner like me who got a birdie on the 7th hole first time there. The golf carts come with a ball and club cleaner attached with 4 cup holders. There is a collared shirt policy for the course so be mindful of that. Can’t wait to go back!

Usually well-manicured and usually easy to get on without a tee time. Darleen and Darla (the Border Collie in the pro shop) are always glad to give good customer service. Also, good price if walking 18 holes.

It's an unplayable golf course. The lowlights: 1) The trees are so overgrown that you are supposed to hit through windows that the far majority of golfers are not capable of hitting through. They can call this a "challenge" if they want to, but the fact is that it's just trying to get away with no maintenance. Keeping trees trimmed is expensive. 2) The tee boxes are in terrible shape. They use solo cups that were filled with concrete for tee markers. They only have 2 sets of tees which are not much different. They are lumpy and unkempt. 3) The bunkers have been converted to grass (again, ma…

Gorgeous golf course! I've played here many times and always enjoyed it. They aren't kidding with the name though, there's a ton of ponds and lakes!

This place is sexist! I went here a while back with my (now ex) boyfriend and didn’t end up wearing a collared shirt. I had none that were clean. My bf also didn’t have on a collared shirt. A group of men ahead of us had graphic t-shirts on, no collars. The lady at the front desk mentioned to my bf, couldn’t even speak to me directly, that I needed to wear a collared shirt next time! The women’s tee boxes were also very unkept and half of the tee box markers were just colored rocks falling apart. Safe to say I wont be going back,

Overlake is a course that has potential, but the condition of the course relative to its price makes it only a course I play when I can't get on anywhere else. And even then, I'm disappointed. It's too unforgiving for a player of my skill (high 90s). For the player with more skill, it doesn't make sense because the condition of the course doesn't justify the price. The Ridge, for example, is BY FAR better maintained and it may even be $2 less to play 18. The fairways are in decent shape. There is drainage problems everywhere. Yesterday the greens were so soggy that you hear squishing when yo…

This course is beautiful… maybe 5 years ago. Greens are atrocious hospitality is lacking. That green isn’t even the worse one on the course. But that’s just a sample of what your working with.
