In summary

Pelican Point Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained courses, beautiful setting, and friendly, accommodating staff. The venue is also noted for hosting events with exceptional service and quality food. However, some visitors feel the green fees are overpriced for the course amenities offered, and there are occasional complaints about slow pace of play and course conditions such as hard greens.

Paid $125 per person to play here. $250 for my friend and I to play 18 holes at 1pm on a Friday. Ridiculous. Sorry but wont be playing here again. Beware!

Patiently awaiting the results of the Masters Par 3 Tournament. What’s the hold up?

Raised green fees to $125 for a very basic course. No amenities. Very overpriced. Carter Plantation offers more bang for your buck.

Wanted to share an experience here. I have tried to bring my boys to Santa Maria before and they wouldnt let me play 9 holes with my 4 year old. Rude, no explanation, no working with me. Brought my 4 and 5 year old boys here to Pelican to ride with me for 18 and EVERY staff member was welcoming to the boys. From the cart guys, to the woman sweeping inside, to the kids at the counter, and lastly the marshall. Again, every staff member was welcoming and incredible. These are memories that have no price tag. Shout out to Pelican Point and staff🙏 Thank you for the incredible experience. You gav…

Used to be a member and it used to be amazing. Thought about joining again just to have a local place to practice everyday and I can't get an email or phone call back.

$45 to play 9 holes and the greens are hard as dirt. They had two groups of 7 people in front of me. Took 6 hours to play 9 holes. Save your money and play Santa Maria or LSU.

We just attended a rehearsal supper there tonight. I want to say how INCREDIBLE it was. Christie and Bradley are incredible people that make you feel like you are at THEIR home! TOP NOTCH SERVICE!!!! The food was fantastic, esp the Prime Rib.....We had issues with the A/V for a video and The GM Kip was their as well as Jack the Asst Pro to fix this issue! I highly highly recommend them for your next event! You will be blown away! Thanks PP staff!!!

Played The Lakes Course June 3rd 2023. Pretty busy time (Saturday afternoon) but got through the round in about 3 1/2 hours so not bad at all. Course is in solid condition albeit most bunkers are a rocky dirt type sand and not the typical white sand you're used too. It's very compact. Greens are decent, a little bumpy at times but not bad. Fairways are solid, running pretty hot right now. For the price ($55 incl. cart) it's a decent value although a bit of a drive if you live in Baton Rouge.

A lot bigger than it seems and the roads are very winding and curvy so it’s easy to get turned around.

I’m a new member at this Country Club. The atmosphere is great, the other members are friendly and walk up to you and spark a conversation like you’ve know each other for years. Food is the best! Sara is the best hostess! Ask for her and tip her well she deserves it. Kristy will handle any large party reservations you may need. She is so helpful and down to earth hope she gets a raise she brilliant. The pool is not over crowded. Over all great country club.

Played the Lakes nine-hole course. The greens are in spectacular shape, difficult, and super fast which makes putting a real challenge. Since the course does not have any houses and very few trees, it is wide open and gets very windy in 12 mph winds. Our only problem was with the extreme fast pace of play those behind us wanted to play. If you don't play "speed golf" and can deal with those who do, you will enjoy the course at a reasonable price of $35. However, if you don't like average golfers who want to "Just hurry up and finish" as one person told us, go somewhere else and enjoy the game.
