In summary

Pittsburgh North Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic setting, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both regular and occasional golfers. The course is generally well-maintained with commendable greens, although some areas like tee boxes and fairways could benefit from more attention, especially during dry conditions. While the staff, including the owner, are often praised for their friendliness, there are occasional complaints about slow pace of play and issues with tee time management.

A very nice public course. Challenging and scenic, it's reasonably priced for what you get. The greens are in decent shape, although not quite as fast as a Country Club's would be. The Clubhouse is well-appointed, with an attractive bar. The outside patio is beautiful, and apparently is rented for parties, too. The owner, Jack, is also extremely nice. Highly recommended for the weekend golfer who doesn't want to spend a fortune!

Super nice course, very reasonably priced. We paid 50 for 2 golfers for the back 9. The carts were well maintained, pretty well signed course so even our first time there we knew where we were going. The lady up front gives aggressively bitter boomer energy, but you’ve only gotta deal with her while you’re getting signed in. No biggy. The day we went it was super dry, and the greens were hard. Not their fault, but they’re definitely not watering the greens everyday… just something to keep in mind. Pic of my fav hole. There’s a turtle in that pond just fyi

Nice place. Greens were in good condition. Tee boxes were a little hard and abused. Fairways were a little rough but we have been going through a drought. Made it hard to hold in the sloping areas. Will try it again in the spring.

Played on Sunday morning, and I was very impressed with the conditions of the course. The greens were excellent, and the fairways in good shape for the dry conditions. The tee boxes are the weakest, but they weren’t terrible. The course is challenging, especially with difficult side lies on almost every hole. I especially like that they don’t join up groups, which should help pace of play. Except that when groups sneak off the back and clog up the course, which happened to us.

Giving 1 star only because I can't select zero. Booked 3 tee times and was told 804, 812, 820. When we arrived we waited 10 minutes for an employee to come to the front desk to pay. The owner told us we NEED TO BE on the tee box NOW, only to reach the tee box and have a team waiting on the team in front of them. He continued to harass us the rest of the round saying we were "holding up play" yet we had no one behind us the whole day. Absolutely horrible experience, couldn't even buy snacks/drinks at the turn because he told us we "need to hurry through the turn." Please don't waste your time a…

Visiting from Texas and stopped in to play a round here, beautiful course and super friendly staff. Not many people playing so we pretty much had the course to ourselves. Worth the visit!

Great affordable course. I g=have twin boys learning to play golf, so we go to the FOX 9-hole course tucked in the back. it is perfect for beginners and doesn't cost as much as he regular course. Its challenging, and gives the kids a good taste of what a "real" course is all about.

Course is quite hilly. Hard to get a shot from a level ground. Average price, average quality. Better bang for the buck within 10 minutes. Tee boxes were rather hard, but somewhat expected for the time of year. Tee boxes could use a bit of help!

Tee times are on top of each others. Owners can’t space out proper times. Spend 20 mins waiting for the next hole. Course is all over the place. Take 10 mins to get to the next hole. Course has more potholes that a road way in Pittsburgh

Course is in decent shape and greens are in good shape. No complaints about the course relative to the price. The people on the course, however… that’s another story. Got behind a foursome who clearly never played golf on a real course before. Didn’t know they could take their carts off the cart path, hit the ball 20 feet, didn’t wait by their balls on the green, etc. Took them more than 15 minutes to complete the first par 4. We tried to skip past them, and immediately in front of them was a group of five people. Got their permission to go past them and immediately in front of them was a grou…

We really enjoyed our afternoon of golf there. Very caring staff, very affordable rates, brand new fleet of carts, I could go on.... We lost a few balls there under fallen leaves but they were actively trying to clear them while we were there. Now I need to get back to clearing the leaves on my own lawn. Not a minor task around this area in the fall. We will be back!

The course is beautiful, but they had a golf outing while me and my friend were there. Two dudes in their 30s took it personally when we skipped a hole because they were averaging over 25 minutes a hole. They verbally assaulted us and tried getting us to fight them…notified the pro shop and course Marshall and nothing seemed to be done. Crazy that is who they have representing whatever charity they were hosting the golf scramble for. Will not be returning.
