In summary

Pleasant Run Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, historical charm, and well-maintained greens, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, and the course's unique layout offers challenging yet enjoyable play. Great golf course. It was in great shape even after a night of rain. Greens were challenging. Only got to play nine holes, but will definitely play again.

If it wasn’t for the tee times being 8 minutes a part it would be my favorite course but my last 5 rounds there have been 5+ hours and nothing but sitting and waiting around. I will never be back nor get another membership again

Was looking for a place in town to play 18 with my wife while the kid was at soccer camp, and remembered playing Pleasant Run as a kid...figured give it a try...the reviews looked decent. I was more than impressed. It had that perfect combo of great conditions, cool old school layout, and great minimalist clubhouse. Walked in, and the pro's managed the snack bar as well...had a GREAT egg salad sandwich and was ready to go. LOVE courses where the first tee basically connects to the clubhouse...and the first tee here is perfect....even have the old school PA system announcing "Next on the firs…

One of our favorite courses in the city! The course is always well kept and easy to play in 4 hours or less. It’s a unique layout with fun and challenging holes. The price point and location make this a regular on our list and we highly recommend it!

East side Gem. 5 star muni operation with 100 years of history. Practice green. No driving range. Carts or walk. Use caution on each narrow bridge. 3 Forced Carries. Diabolical greens. Blue tees / White tees / Gold Red tees. Forward tees are forward of the red/gold tees. Lunch in the clubhouse is homemade. Counter service. Enjoy!

Overall a good course with extremely fast greens and some challenging and blind shots. A good course to challenge newcomers to golf as hazards aren't a huge issue but the with technical shots and quick greens it challenges you to adapt. At $45 for 18 on a weekend with a cart it's an excellent price for the quality of course you're getting. Well worth playing.

I used to play Pleasant Run at least once a week. Nice layout, short but greens are fast to avoid being too easy. But the last 5+ times I’ve been there we teed off over 30 minutes past our tee time and the round took 5 or more hours to finish because the course was so backed up. I will probably never play there again. Remember - you’ve been warned!!

Called to book tee time and make sure it was okay for my newborn to come along since he will be carried the whole time. Staff said yes TWICE. We took the time get our newborn baby together and out of the house and got refused service once we showed up. He’s a BABY and would do no harm to be with us on the course. We even said that we called ahead and confirmed it would be okay but still got turned away. Terrible service and will not be back.

My son and I wanted to go golfing, and take in the great weather on a late July Monday. We wanted to try a new course. Pleasant Run is a great trek, and reasonably priced. The pace of play is perfect. The staff in clubhouse and concessions were energetic and friendly. The fairways, greens and sand traps are well maintained. This is a great city course that allows one to enjoy all aspects of the game without the pressure of pace and we never had issues getting hit into, or held up, even though the course was decently busy. Bottom line it is a hidden gem within the city, to escape the madness of…

Absolutely and phenomenal shape and in my opinion the best city horse in Indianapolis between it and Sarah shank which are owned by the same people.
