In summary

Quail Ridge Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic tree-lined setting, and friendly staff, making it a favored spot for many local golfers. However, there are concerns about the course's maintenance, with some noting deteriorating conditions such as poorly maintained fairways and bunkers, and issues with pace of play. Additionally, the limited amenities and customer service experiences have been points of frustration for some visitors.

I really enjoyed this course! Very pretty trees and course layout. Challenging but fun. I look forward to playing here again soon.

Course is always great. Staff is phenomenal. I wish they would blow the leaves back a bit more past the rough in the fall. It’s a bit Al hard to find your ball off you miss the fairway. Also with they offered mixed drinks or cocktails instead of just beer. But if we’re talking purely golf, it’s a well kept course with varying holes to keep you on your toes. Love this place

I've been golfing in Memphis for 25 years and have never had a bad experience here. The course is fun and challenging, the staff is down to earth and helpful, and the neighborhood is safe. Looking forward to golfing here for many years to come.

I’m so sorry this public, beautifully designed course has declined to this point. I have played this course many times prior and it has always been well tended. Although occasionally crowded, this course was always a good golf experience. Mounds of dead grass, poorly tended fairways, lack of markers made my day less than anticipated. Called management and Sam told me to “play somewhere else”. Please don’t waste a dollar to get on this poorly run course. I will definitely play somewhere else. Thanks for the customer service.

QR is a great course. I walked 18 holes 3 days in a row. The head pro is a very nice man. Maintenance crew should be proud of their work as well. Great fairways and nice greens. Dog legs right and left. After the opening 3 holes the course becomes tree-lined. Its beautiful. Favorite hole is 14. When you play it and get to the green look back towards the tee box. Its a pretty scene. It was my pleasure to play there.

Today was the first time I played this course in several years. I was terribly disappointed in the course maintenance for the price. $40 for 18 with a cart was way overpriced. Fairways had little grass, rough was nothing but weeds, bunkers were unplayable, and they had groups of kids playing in 6-somes on a Sunday. The greens were cut tight but were lacking true maintenance. It had the feel of a low budget muni. I hope they get it back in shape because it was always a fun course to play and they hosted several big events back in the day. If you want to hack it around and search for decent lies…

I use to play there years ago until they would not honor a gift certicicate that had expired by two weeks. They would not even offer a free round of golf. Never gone back and never will. I was a regular until this situation, just poor magament skills and he still has my $100 bucks. The course has really gone down hill from people I know that use to play there. It was a pretty nice course years ago, its unfortunate.

At first, Quail Ridge was simply a decent course with holes I liked, and many holes I did not like. However, the more I play the course, the more I like it as a whole. It is kept in decent condition and the staff makes every golfing experience even more enjoyable. While I am not a member at any course in Memphis, I am starting to consider QR my "home course."

I live 5 minutes from Quail Ridge, they have great week day rates, especially if you get off work and want to play nine holes. Tough course, greens are in good shape and roll true. Some holes wide open and some holes very tight. Par 5s are reachable for a long hitter. Great challenge, I like it.

I have seen reviews of the course from a year to two years ago and the course looked amazing but during the summer of 2021 the course has really deteriorated it seems. The fairways are hard, the roughs are mainly weeds and the course in general just looks in despair. I really hope it gets fixed up soon because I love quail and the course is fun. And due to the pandemic and everything going on it is definitely challenging to get stuff right I would assume since understaffing is a huge issue right now. Hope it goes well.

What a shame to see this course in such bad shape. I'm sure it was beautiful at one time. The whole place needs some love. Also, short staffed and when our cart died we received a snarky comment as to why we didn't take time to push it back to the clubhouse. Not my job to push your dead cart. Really unbelievable and disappointing, the attitude this kid had.
