In summary

Ridge View Golf Course receives praise for its enjoyable layout, friendly and accommodating staff, and well-maintained fairways, making it a pleasant spot for both casual and more focused rounds. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens, the power of the golf carts, and occasional issues with tee time management and customer service. The course's unique setting and community focus are appreciated, though experiences with staff interactions and course logistics vary.

Golfing experience. Great nature. We saw a rabbit on hole 8. Watch for poison ivy. The most unique thing about this course are the ashtrays next to the urinals in the men's bathroom. Definitely a great time regardless. The staff are very helpful and the course in enjoyable.

My ball will catch air and bounce sideways off a 5 foot putt. The greens are in serious need of work, grass on the tee boxes are longer than the grass on the fairways, and that’s only on the front nine. The golf carts are underpowered and can barely make it along the course and make concerning noises. The only good thing about this course is the pro shop crew, who are extremely friendly and helpful. Just for a reference point, it was $25 for 1 person with a cart in the afternoon. Not complaining about the price, just saving you a phone call.

Play here once each year for a golf outing. Course is very nice, carts are in good condition, and the staff is friendly. It is a long drive for us, but glad it is always well kept up other than some bumps on the paths near the tees.

My family and I of 4 people won a golf tournament and won four passes to Ridgeview. When we scheduled a tee time and went we were charged $20 dollars per person to use 2 carts almost the same price for 18 holes with cart. They are bad promoters. I'm telling my Veterans VFW about this.

Ridgeview Golf Course is a true gem in Kalamazoo. The layout is fun and fair — challenging enough to keep you focused but forgiving enough to enjoy the round even on an off day. The greens roll true, the fairways are in great shape, and the pace of play is consistently solid. What really sets Ridgeview apart, though, is the staff especially Austin Chapin. He goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, Austin treats you like a VIP. He’s friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about making the course the best it can be. You can…

I second the review made by Mr Hahn, the guy also told half of our group we’d be fine to play together but when he and i got there it was a bad experience as soon as we walked in. Look we’re all in our 20’s, love the game, we understand the rules and golf etiquette. We have no problem letting people pass and let the first twosome pass no problem, the twosome of “members” that didn’t even get to the tee box before coming up to us to complain. They just seemed to hate kids having fun on a gorgeous day, personally I’d rather 6 people play together than them separate because then they’re only taki…

Fun course to play on with your buddies. The pro shop and bar staff are all amazing tho. I'm fairly new to golf so just being out with buddies is enough for me.

The course is bad mower kept getting in the way staff are nice but the course is not as good as what I'm used to. The course is known as "rock view " as the grass is hard. They book the tee times too close together. I was waiting for 30 mins extra then normal I don't like waiting because it throws off my role

I played on a Sunday as a foursome knowing two others were going to play behind us, with the immediate tee time following ours. We were the first ones at the course, instantly as we walked in the man at the desk had a problem with how we booked our tee time and was frustrated with us using a free round. He had said that he would not like us to all play together because it was going to be a busy day, very understandable. Unfortunately all of us in the foursome are not the best golfers and the two following us were undeniably better than us, obviously they caught up to us and instead of taking u…

I never give reviews, but this place deserves one. Should’ve listened to the reviews ahead of time. Save yourself time and money and don’t golf here. Terrible experience, didn’t get to golf because we had to “wait for the sun to come up” because of the frost. Understandable, so we waited. 45 minutes later we were told we’d still be waiting another 45. Sun had been up almost the entire time we’d been waiting. Meanwhile the staff were driving their SUVs, John Deere gators, golf carts etc around the course. If they were so concerned with this and didn’t have the equipment to prep the course ahead…

I've golfed here since the mid 80's and have generally enjoyed the place. The course is respectable, greens are good. Dealing with the people there has never been a pleasure.
