River Place Country Club

The gym is an upgrade overall over the old one (on the bottom floor) Some parts of the old layout were better, but the current club meets modern standards, and the food options now have enough variety that people are actually fine eating there. The property has gone through a few renovations over the past 25 years. The golf course is very challenging and pretty hilly, and there’s also a nice driving range just across the street. The pool has a deep end, designated lap areas, and more open space for general swimming. There are also tennis courts and summer camps for kids.

Arcis is the management company for Riverplace, and they have proven to be incompetent and deliberately misleading. Arcis ignored a very leaky roof for 6+ years (among many other obvious maintenance needs), resulting in the clubhouse, gym, bar, restaurant, locker rooms and day care being closed for at least 9 months due to flood damage starting in July of 2025. Membership dues remain full price for unavailable services and facilities. They've intentionally mislead members about the restoration timeline to avoid member attrition. I have not been a member here but enjoyed as a guest several times. Their driving range across the street is my favorite. The course is great, a vast hill and difficult course. Not for amatuers. The facilities and staff I've found to be great as well. It's a unique course for sure.

On Sunday, 8/18/2024 (for the second year in a row) we hosted our National Charity League chapter's annual Ticktocker Officer Training in the Colorado Room at River Place Country Club. The room was set up beautifully prior to our arrival, and the first wave of drinks and snacks were already prepared. Courtney, Sam, and Daniel were all a pleasure to work with. They went out of their way to find options that fit within our budget, create the perfect environment for our session, and provide technology set-up for a seamless meeting. Great place for a wedding reception. Beautiful views. Golf carts that hardly brake, haha. Overall had a great time.

Amazing course and all around 5 star experience. Course is very well maintained. Cart girl Malory was very nice. Kitchen staff and food was great too. Will be back soon!

Worst management I have ever run across, all they care about is money. Golf course is the only thing that is good. Food is worse than chain restaurants at 5 star prices. Work out facilities suck. Was a member for 10 years and it got worse every year, glad I quit.

We run our Hope Mommies Golf Classic there every year and it is truly one of the most beautiful courses you will see in central Texas! The staff are some of the most accommodating staff i have ever worked with. I love this place and it's people.

Toured the facility and all 18 holes. I must say it is beautiful. It is surrounded by lush greenery that leads to the lake and estate houses lining the petameter. The grounds are professionally kept by a crew that knows the business of landscaping. Two thumbs up for this place.

We have been working with River Place Country Club more recently as they are incorporating weddings more on their gorgeous property! We recently photographed an engagement session there and the grounds were perfectly maintained, the venue was staged beautifully for some fun and creative photos with our couple and they provided golf carts for us to drive to the best locations for pictures.
