Royal Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly and welcoming staff, well-maintained course, and good value for money, with recent investments improving the condition of the greens and fairways. Many visitors appreciate the course layout and amenities, including a well-stocked pro shop and practice facilities. The people here make the feeling so friendly. I've been to several courses and frankly some make you feel like you don't belong but not here. They are super friendly and we really enjoy spending our time on the course and my 4yo loves it!

Very well maintained fairways fairways create an amazing experience for even an average golfer. A well stocked pro shop and a nice bar are all part of this well organized golf club.

I think this course is over rated. The greens were in bad shape, the back 9 is laid out in a very weird manner. Front 9 is wide open and good for beginners. The Thursday night scramble is a blast! well worth the price for sure.

I played Royal on Dec 30th, 2023 and if you haven't played here in a while, do yourself a favor and come play. The new owner is putting a lot of money into the course and the greens are in amazing condition. Soft, true rolling and zero bare spots. Worth the $45.oo fee. They also have decent practice facilities too! Check it out.

I play here regularly. They have invested a lot of money to make the course better and I believe they have succeeded. Course is green and greens are in pretty good shape. Hint for those that do not play it regularly, the course will tend to play longer than it looks. The management and staff here are very good and very friendly. There is a driving range and a place to practice putting. Good course to walk but in summer when it is hot and humid, the cart sure is welcome...I enjoy this course and find it challenging...

Played here since the 90’s. Cool layout and not too far out. Fun course. Cons: greens are like carpets and beat up. Fairways turn into ripped up pieces of land that feel like concrete when you hit them. Range balls needed to be changed like 20 years ago. The cost is around $50 so you can’t tell me at that cost they cant budget in some upgrades. Only go there when other options are out.

Course really has improved over the last 2 years! Grass was very green and I the greens were well kept. The range looked neglected, I'm guessing that is because they worked so much on the actual course!

The best public course in Slidell for the value. Over the last few years, the new owners have invested in the course and it shows. The tee boxes and greens are in very good condition, with a few still under renovation. The fairways are forgiving, so if you are just getting back to playing or new to the game it is a good place. The driving range has a number of pin placements to practice your shots.

Enjoyable and challenging course, greens are well maintained. Staff is friendly. It's not a high end pretentious place so go expecting to enjoy your round of golf for a reasonable price.
